Oman Air

I travel around 6 times per year to Dubai, so i decided to try Oman Air and i am so glad i did. The airline is simply amazing. Service on-board was second to none, food, entertainment and comfort i would rate 5 star. The change over at Muscat Int. was so quick and easy it was a perfect trip. The only downside i would admit is the price, they are not the cheapest as they price themselves up with Emirates and Etihad but i understand why.

Check in LHR: We got to check in with a small Que for business class passengers (business class was booming) and got past security within 15 minutes of all this!

Lounge: We used the No1 lounge T3, the SAS lounge had mixed reviews whereas this lounge seemed great. Got a complimentary 15 minute facial left my skin radiant! Food was super, only had salad as i heard the food on oman air was amazing. The design of the lounge is rather pleasing, a hint of arabic whilst modern - i liked it!

Boarding/seat: We were onboard by 9:05pm for our 9:25pm flight. This left us time to explore business class, have a sneak at first class etc. We were in seats 10A-E in the first section of business class. I was offered water, champagne or orange juice. I took water, and i was also handed a lovely looking menu. The seat is SO comfortable - it is not too hard nor soft, and it comes with a giant pillow. Seat positions are super, i loved the recline position but also found the upright position was great as well! Another thing I enjoyed about the seat, was the 'buddy' seat, where your partner could sit during a meal. It had a seatbelt incase of turbulence. As we taxied, F/A came round to take our order for the meal which would be served shortly after takeoff. I chose a main course, no starter simply because i wasn't too hungry and as i have a sweet tooth i was saving up for dessert. We taxied to the runway at 9:20pm, and took of at around 9:30pm, only 5 minutes late - no biggie!

THE FLIGHT- Once we were airborne, F/A got straight to work on preparing meals, and this left time to look through IFE, pay for wifi onboard (very impressive!!) etc. I loved the selection of entertainment on the IFE, i found some old but great classics, and some super recent things too, which is always nice to have! The headsets are so much better than the BA noise reducting ones and they are a lot bigger.

When my meal came, i was delighted to have my table covered in a white cloth, and my table set out for me! I felt like a king in a castle! I noticed not everyone received their meals at the same time, but they were so nice and worth the wait!

After my meal, i was offered for the F/A to make my bed and give me time to change into my given PJs which were so soft. Once they were on, my bed was in the fully flat position and it looked so nice i practically fell into sleep!

Breakfast service was very, very nice and energising. I was woken up around 1 hour before landing.

Overall:

Overall, Oman Air is a great gulf airline, and it's business class beating countless numbers of airlines first classes avadible. I really recommend them!

this is the worst airline i have ever travelled in, so bad that i think they get like hundreds of complain every week that they did not even bother to reply to my complain. thier short haull flights have smaller air craft and the service it that you would give to cattles in a shed with such as food literally thrown at you without even asking you your options. ground floor staff seem to mock the passengers as they check in including the so called supervior. total disaster and i would never travel this airline. you might be temped with its cheap offers but be aware you been warned!!!!!!!!!!
