Nok Air

We had flown Nok about 20 times and were setting up for corporate as they seem to have shown that they were unlike many Thai business...hopeless! ... but it wasnt to be. My Partner and I had flown to Singapore for a 4 day break and visa run combo...that included 2 fares back and forth on Nok.

During our stay in Singapore my partner received the news her beloved grandmother had died... we arranged to change one fare with Nok heading her North from Bangkok. I was going to Phuket to finish some business and would join her in a few days.

When we went to change the flight they said book another and the first fare could be credited or refunded in lieu of. When I arrived in Phuket it was a different story...the 1450 baht fare had a 1200 baht penalty to change and we had already booked the other flight on their change of heart.

I cancelled our corporate account immediately and then flew Orient Thai to Bangkok a few days later to join my partner. I followed this matter up and was asked to submit a death certificate and evidence. I got a document from local government and a photo of the burial plot much to my partners families discontent. I submitted these and got no answer... after 2 months I wrote again... no answer...after 6 months I gave up.

We fly 40-50 times a year...but not with Nok... or is that Khe Nok!

Nok Air - one of the many cheap asean flight operators. They fly within Thailand only. Good service when they cancel a flight, had me on the next Thai Airways within minutes.

Planes clean and comfortable, service is "buy what you want on board" or you can pre-book a meal. Drinks etc are very reasonable.
