Korean Air

I and my husband always use Korean air to go to Japan from London as they have good connection time to Japan from Seoul transit airport and flight meals are always same but in good standard, enjoyable. Compare to economy class and business class, there were so big gap on the service and sometimes we think this is too much to recieve... last November when we flying out to Japan through Seoul was on economy class and realised that their seat has been modified to slightly bigger and comfortable than before. Excellent flight they called themselves, and it is somtimes really excellent and generally not too difficult to communicate them.

Travelled Business Class from London to Auckland. Flight reasonable. On booking my disabled wife was promised stop-over accommodation in Seoul which several times they tried to cancel saying it was against Company policy.. After much argument they checked their promise but then said that I must pay for the room. When Korean Airlines make a mistake, their culture seems to demand that Company honour comes before Customer satisfaction and no-one has the authority to rectify a problem. The European General Manager in Seoul is totally unsympathetic to Customer complaints.

I have never had such nice service. They provided slippers and a toothbrush w/ paste, a big soft blanket and a pillow. The food I ate was Korean, but nothing a Westerner wouldn't like (basically stirfry going there and fish/chicken teriyaki and rice and veggies on the way home plus desert, tea or coffee, drinks and seconds if you wanted) but sooo tasty. Best plane food I've ever had. The entertainment has so much variety, from movies and documentaries to friends and 2 and 1/2 men, to about 10 different music genres each with dozens of albums and songs each. The crew was quick, attentive, and professional. Leg room was pretty decent. Over all the best flight I've ever taken despite being 12.5 hours.

Poor timekeeping and bored staff. Poor service on all flights. Plane broke down in Soul and placed in airport hotel overnight with no information and no toiletries. Not particularly comfortable. Ran out of European food options on one leg. Will not fly with them again.

We travelled London - Auckland March 2010 via Seoul. The flight was on time and the 1hr between flights went very smoothly. The aircraft was as comfortable as any long haul economy flight. The flight attendants were polite, helpful & the toilets were the cleanest on any flight I've travelled. On the return flight we had a over night stay at a beautiful modern hotel with dinner, breakfast & lunch included, the airline staff were so helpful & efficient. The food on board was OK I enjoyed the Korean option. I will travel Korean Airlines again, I have already booked for Dec/Jan 2011. S.J.C

I flew Korean Air from Seoul, South Korea to Atlanta, GA and back, nonstop and had a fabulous experience. I have recommended Korean Air over and over because of their great customer service.

Flew Korean Air last fall and was very impressed with the level of service and professionalism that was maintained throughout then entire flight! The flight attendants were extremely helpful, offering to bring you a meal if you'd slept through the regular meal time. Plug beneath the seats made it easy to use my laptop and get some work done, as well as the "free internet"...it was supposed to give me a half hour of internet service, but I ended up having internet for the whole flight!

Great screens built into the back of seats with plenty of TV, movie and music options.

Food was pretty good - I didn't eat much of it but that's par for the course for me and airplanes.
