Celebrity Cruises, Celebrity Equinox Northern Europe Cruise

We sailed 29th march.(celebrity equinox)

The ship is very nice ,but on entering the ship we did not have the 'waauw!!! feeling we had on some other ships .(even Royal Caribbean )

The food in the Oceanview cafe was fantastic ,with everything on offer that you could wish for .In the afternoon there was even a large variety of japanese food.

The meals in the main dining room were not as good as in Oceanview!!!

Our room was great and we really loved the spacious balcony.

Entertainment was good ,but there should have been more variety .

The ventriloquist was very good in his first performance ,but repeated much of his act in a second performance .

We found many of the bar areas empty and a bit gloomy .

Alcoholic drinks on board were rediculously expensive !!!!!!!!

We pre booked 2 excursions and booked 2 while on board ,but we should have just gone ashore and booked trips then ,for they were much cheaper . The trips we booked were not worth the money and were not great anyway.

In Cozumel we took a snorkling trip ,booked at the pier ,which was great and only cost us a fraction of the celebrity one .

In Hondouras we took a taxi with 4 other people(we did not know them ,they were just waiting for taxi also)And we had a great time on a lovely beach ,again only for a fraction of a celebrity trip).

We had a great holiday ,but found everything on board just too pricey!!!.

I found the trip to get there bad we had to change planes with 10 hour delays no help at airports then when we got on board food was always cold if you like table tennis and bingo quiz's and roasting at the pool if you could get a sun bed pools were always cloudy trips expensive service was not very good hard sale on alcohol when you were eating or sunbathing no offer of water or tea that was free you had to get that yourself. Entertainment was not very good until the last night. If you wanted a nice cup of coffee or good ice cream and cakes that was extra. Room was ok but towels were often dirty sheets had stains on them. ship tours were so large groups you could not see anything.

Celebrity Cruises, Celebrity Equinox we found the ship cabin and service excellent.Entertainment above average.Bar prices and shore excursions exhorbitant.Too much space used to provide specialist restaurants (with additional cover charges).As a result shortage of entertainment variations.
