The Ship Itself Was Spectacular, The Food Was Ok B
The ship itself was spectacular, the food was ok but nothing special, the entertainment was great some nights but poor others. The night club didn't open until midnight which was stupid, the one night I went and had a look no-one was there. It is an Italian ship so fair to say it was not the most well organised in terms of embark and disembark, entertainment etc. Only negative on itinery was not enough time at Santorini (only half a day) Would rather a full day there and only a half day at Rhodes...

Absolute Sh***, Queing For 45 Minutes For Food, Re
absolute sh***, queing for 45 minutes for food, really poor variety and the first two days had to eat pizza which was the worst ever tasting. this was due to staff been unavailable. been on a thomsons cruise before and really found that i could not compare. food was also unavailable at times which i thought was odd. it took us five hours to get onto the boat and at every stop queing was ridiculous. in my opinion this was due to lack of security staff and scanning machines. too miserable to buy another. entertainment was more karaoke in a different language. very disappointing. cost of drinks and anything extra seemed ridiculous as if they were squeezing every last penny out of us.

Even Though There Were A Few Good Things, We Left
Even though there were a few good things, we left the Costa Fortuna, Costa Cruise disappointed. Only the night before the cruise we realized we wad to pay an extra 90 euros for the service charge. Our waiter was moody, rude and didn't have a clue. Chaos and disorganization spring to mind every time I think of Costa Fortuna; and it did cost a fortune. Excursions were expensive, drinks had to be paid on top. The only free drinks were tap water, milk ,tea and coffee. Boarding the tender boats was a nightmare and the staff were disorganized and gave conflicting messages.

We Had A Most Enjoyable Cruise, Excursions Were Ex
We had a most enjoyable cruise, excursions were excellent and ports of call most interesting, especially Santorini, Mykonos, Rhodes and Dubrovnik. We had three whole days in Venice, where we enjoyed the Water bus and ordinary buses were to schedule-and cheap enough at 31 euros for 3 days. Over 65's free in most public buildings, Venetian glass is a must. Waiting at Venice Airport is a problem - insufficient seats at check-in. Book a hotel near Piazza Roma or on LIDO.
