Azamara Better And Better!

It is very rare to read anything negative about Azamara cruises these days!. Since our first excellent cruise on the Azamara Quest in 2009, Azamara just keeps getting better. We have just returned from a cruise from Venice to Rome with ports in Croatia and Italy and it was all fantastic. The furnishings are not the most modern, nor the bathrooms or balconies the biggest, but what makes Azamara so great is the friendly relaxed atmosphere on board. From the Senior Officers down, all the crew seem genuinely pleased to see and serve you. This is what makes Azamara stand out from the rest!

We had the most fantastic weather with a wonderful itinerary with some lovely ports such as Dubrovnik, Sorrento, Capri and Amalfi and scenic cruising at Kotor. Sailing out of Venice was a lovely experience as always.

If anything we found the food on board to be better than ever. We had 10 nights on board and split our evenings between all 4 restaurants. The food and service in Discoveries was very good and our preferred choice when we wanted to sit and be served more formally, Aqualina was our choice for a really excellent seafood meal or Prime C for beef with outstanding service. Sometimes we liked to dine in the open air on the back Windows deck, enjoying a relaxing seafood starter cooked in front of us or a stir fry or other themed meal under the stars while listening to the guitarist. Great.

We don't usually go to any of the entertainment but on this cruise we did go to several shows which we found to be very good. One night there was a White Night party on deck which was excellent as always. We did feel that the pool deck and outside grill area could have been used on other evenings as the weather was so fantastic and it was really lovely being out on deck in the evening. As always there were several Le Club Voyage special cocktails with plenty of opportunities to meet the Senior Officers.

We enjoy all the changes since our first cruise with Azamara with included wines, soft drinks and gratuities plus the free internet package and laundry offered for Le Club Voyage guests.

We know that Azamara are planning even more improvements to their two ships in the forthcoming refurbishments and we look forward to experiencing them on our next cruise!

The Azamara Quest Is A Lovely Ship. With 700 Passe

The Azamara Quest is a lovely ship. With 700 passengers it felt a very friendly ship. Decor really lovely. Well maintained. Staff absolutely brilliant nothing to small to put right if needed. I didn't like having to pay for shuttle buses. For e.g. Venice a good hours walk to St. Marks Square (the centre) even for the very fit. Slight disability and you would have to get the shuttle bus which cost $15. per person. I felt this discriminated against the disabled. The average age on board I would say was 58+. Brilliant ship to cruise on.
