Adonia Is A Big 77,499 Ton Ship Had Plenty Of Spac
Adonia is a Big 77,499 ton ship had plenty of space & never felt crowded, despite 1928 passengers. We went into Vigo (Spain) on Easter Day when everything was shut, except one street with souvenir shops & bars:-Bad planning taking us to a city when it's "closed"!
Waiters were lazy & inattentive (from India, not Phillippines, like most cruise ships). Had my lunch at a table where the previous users rubbish still hadn't been shifted when I'd finished. Most ship's staff fall over themselves to help & serve you, this lot had no initiative & needed prompting, even when it was obvious you were struggling with something.
Captain was distant & off-hand compared with Fred.Olsen & Orient Lines' captains. On most ships you meet the captain at his cocktail party, on Adonia he just did a tedious speech to everyone with predictable & scripted "jokes".
Security insisted on seeing your pass every time before you boarded the ship, even though you wouldn't be able to get on the ship without it & the port security wouldn't let you onto the port without showing it:- This farce continued even toward the end of the cruise when these jobsworths knew who you are.
WENT ON SAME CRUISE AND HAD NOTHING BUT PRAISE FOR CREW.
MY ONLY COMPLAINT WAS THE AGED COMEDIAN
