The Black Watch it's self is in need of the "wow factor" but the staff and the food can't be faulted which made it very enjoyable, it need's to keep the the traditional way's formal dinning and respect for the customers. Just the cabins are tierd looking and realy need refitting to modern standards. Entertainment was good overall especially in the lido lounge the resident duo are excellent fine musician and singer, they have a great rapour with all and their extensive reportoire covered all ages. I wish i had known the cabin had single beds then would i have tried to change as found this not to my liking.

The potential for the Blackwatch is unique as with 850 passengers it's very

personal and makes you feel special not like the 3,500 big liners. Overall 9 out of 10 just make the Blackwatch worthy of the Crew and Staff needs makeover please listen to the Clients Fred Olsen,

Food Was Good But Strange Meal Choices. Itinerary

Food was good but strange meal choices. Itinerary was turned on its head. Some cabins weren't cleaned until late afternoon.

Cruise seemed to be like a three star hotel in Eastbourne.

Many of the public areas are smoking eg. If you want to participate in quizes you have to sit in a smoking bar. The food was no better than average. It was quite simple and must have been done to a tight budget (as is everything onboard). There is no wow factor to the ship as the public areas feel claustrophobic. Their system of organisation is poor as we were left an hour and a half to get off on tender due to an over organised ticket system. The entertainment was old school done on the cheap. The comedian in particular was verging on the offensive. The ship seemed to suffer excessively from swell and in particular creaking. Wouldn't travel Fred Olsen again.
