Ideal For Tt
Stay here every year for the TT. Facilities are basic but always clean. Its right on the circuit with good viewing of the races or 2 mins to Creg, Brandish, Hillberry or Governors. Great breakfast at The Cat with No Tail pub about 10 mins walk or 5 mins walk to the burger van, descent breaky good prices. Owner Mrs Cain lovely to deal with and very helpful. Good bus service and not to costly for a taxi either after a night out in Douglas. Normally walk into Douglas (downhill) and get bus or taxi back. Its a Quiet site, but just the same as anywhere else on the island no matter what time it is you will be able to hear a bike!

The Glen Dhoo Camping site is a short taxi ride to Douglas or bracing walk, there is a pub/restaurant close by, hot showers, the toilets are cleaned daily, I find it ideal for TT week, plus it has friendly owners.

I'm hoping to stay in the apartment at Glen Dhoo, with 2 children. Does anyone have any views on what it is like? Is there anywhere outside for young children to play and is it a hike to the nearest shops etc? I really appreciate any information you can give.
