Good Tent, Sub Par Frame
always liked my Vaude tents and recently bought a new mark 3.
as always: a breeze to set up. Tent material is good, seam work above average. Ventilation is very good but Zippers felt a bit flimsy at first. held up to 2 weeks in a sandy environment with daily take down/ set up, though. The bad: one of the tubes broke on the last day with take down. material seems brittle. Since the manufacturer was no help, I replaced all segments with 20 year old Reynolds tubes from an old tent and I'm positive this will hold.
Bottom line: very nice and compact and light 2 person tent (like to see 3 guys in there- not happening)that needs a better frame material. Buy but be prepared to replace frame tubes!

I've Had Several Tents That I've Used Back-packing
I've had several tents that I've used back-packing solo with. This has been the best by a long way, but I haven't been prepared to fork out 'silly' money to save a kilo. It might seem a luxury for one person, but there is easily room for two. Like all tents, three-man means 'sleeps two'!!
Difficult to find a similar tent that has as much headroom inside (115cm inside the inner) significantly reduces the claustrophobia effect.

I've Had This Tent The Vaude Mark 3 For About 5 Ye
I've had this tent the Vaude Mark 3 for about 5 years and it hasn't failed me yet, from storms in Scotland to torrential rain in Norway. For me, the main selling point is that it's incredibly quick and easy to pitch. It has two porch areas which come in handy for storing gear and there's plenty of room inside.
I've Had This Tent For About 5 Years And It's Neve
I've had this tent for about 5 years and it's never failed me yet, from storms in Scotland to torrential rain in Norway. Very easy to pitch, relatively lightweight for a three man tent, very stable in bad weather, handy having two porches to store gear and roomy interior. It's main selling point is that you can pitch it incredibly quickly. Highly recommended!

I've Had The Vaude Mark 3 Now For 5 Months...durin
I've had the Vaude Mark 3 now for 5 months...during which my son and I have tested it out in all sorts of Scottish weather conditions. The worst being a night on the west coast of Scotland back in April when we were battered with rain and wind all night without any problems what so ever. When our friends tent (Vango something of a similar price) really struggled to cope ?
So...
Should anyone be looking for to buy a top quality tent for weekend camping, weekend fishing / hunting expeditions (which we use it for) or even longer time out. Then this is the tent to buy.
Price paid: £230.00...but I see it advertised from about £200.00
