Vango Solero
Used at the weekend august 2015 whilst camping at glen douglas near luss loch lomond, just got the tent, previously had an outwell with steel poles, tent was easy enough to pitch, during some moderate windy weather the whole tent was almost blown flat, had to add additional guy lines but this only improved things slightly, worst tent i have ever owned and i have had plenty tents over the last 10years,do not buy this tent you will regret it,two poles had snapped, the tent folds almost flat in windy weather and the almost sewn in groundsheet lets in midges and bugs etc.sticking to my trusty outwell tent from now on

Whilst Never Have Been A Fan Of Vango, This Tent R
Whilst never have been a fan of Vango, this tent really changed my mind.
Camping in Devon last August we had terrible weather and had to buy a replacement tent fast. This was on sale in Blacks and I reluctantly baught it.
Pretty quick and easy to pitch. Survived th horrendous weather with not problems.
The only problem was the 'brow pole' which was included in the packing list but not the instructions. Tried seversal shops, n-one knew whatg it was. Eventually Vango customer services resonded:
"The Brow pole sits in front of the inner tent sleeping pod, and helps to create tension in the roof of the tent and prevent water pooling."
Otherwise a great, roomy tent with some god design features.

This Vango Solero Is A Great Tent! Can Be Erected
This Vango Solero is a great tent! Can be erected very quickly, can be, but took my time and when others were leaving the site due to bad weather we enjoyed a dry and robust tent. The one thing that could be done to improve this tent is that the door could be turned into a porch. We had a puddle underneath our tent that was not unlike a waterbed and survived strong winds from every direction. All around us people headed to hotels(experienced campers) yet me and my ten year old enjoyed the whole adventure of camping in bad weather with no problems. Would I buy another Vango? Yes, but only when this one is past it's best, which I can't see happening in a hurry.

Vango Solero 500 Great Tent! Surprisingly Eas
Vango Solero 500
Great tent! Surprisingly easy to erect, used in terrible weather and it was both waterproof and fine in the wind. Fared much better than our other tent did!
Good value for money, easy to transport.
5 berth but we used it for one adult and two teenagers and it was just right, not sure how 5 would get on in it (they'd have to be VERY good friends!)
Two doors, 'curtained' window, plenty of air vents.
'Room' separator flimsy and son #2 kept rolling under it during the night, really rather useless as far as privacy is concerned...
Most suited to a small young family who don't mind bunking in together or a gang of 4/5 mates who don't intend spending much time inside. But you could roll your sleeping gear up during the day and then have the huge bedroom as living space too.

The Vango Solero 500 Is A Useless Tent - No Stru
The Vango Solero 500 is a useless tent - no structural integrity, collapses if strong winds hit it side on (unlike every other family tent on the very packed campsite we were on). Shoddy workmanship too - 2 rings came away after one night. AVOID like the plague unless you enjoy making a run for your car at 2 in the morning.
