We Only Managed To Partially Complete The Eurohike

We only managed to partially complete the Eurohike Kelmarsh tent as we found it difficult to get the tension correct once the poles were in place and pegging-out was finished. The flysheet was baggy in places which meant the inner tent's toggles did not match the loops to fit them into, and the groundsheet just couldn't be attached properly.

More detailed instructions are needed for the inner tent and groundsheet fittings, especially adjustments and suggestions for any tension malfunctions on the flysheet which prevents the inside of the tent being completed.

Ultimately, the tent is designed well and if there were no tension problems, it is an easy tent to put up and fit out. Even easier to get down!!

We Don't Get The Gold Star Or A Place On The Krypt

WE don't get the gold star or a place on the krypton factor, but .....

compared to a Lichfield ridge tent with poles everywhere, ithe Kelmarsh was easier to erect. However, instructions MUST be read in minute detail, and we found, initially, that it was impossible to get the pins into the ends of the poles (because we didn't read the instructions word for word) but even once solved, we did have a tent with dodgy tension and no give to fit the groundsheet.

When it was up and the pegging-out was in place, fittting the inner tent was not 100% successful as we had to leave out putting all the toggles into loops becuse of the odd tension.

The groundsheet was a complete nightmare and we couldn't fit it at all. Again because of the tension not giving enough to fit the toggles into loops and the instructions for attaching it to the bottoms of the poles was not clear to us. Consequently, we ended up with a tent that was certainly potentially very comfortable but with gaps between the groundsheet and bottom of the flysheet of up to 6 inches in places.

Very helpful to be able to have more detailed instructions and diagrams, even a video step by step from bag to end product!!

Luckily the weather was good but if there had been heavy rain or strong winds, I would't like to think what state of tent we would be dealing with!! NOT giving up and going back to the same place in Cornwall soon, hoping this time to get the groundsheet fitted too.
