Hoseasons, Wayford Park River Holiday

We went for the Easter weekend. The houseboat was spotlessly clean, well stocked and plenty of cuboard space in the bedrooms. A nice touch was the washing up liquid, tea towel and tea/coffee etc. A nearby hotel served excellent food with discounts up to 6.30 pm. The river was very quiet and peaceful, just the occasional boat came by. It is a 20 minute row to the next village with a nice pub serving food. Tesco is just 5 minutes in the car and there are plenty of pretty villages to visit and pleasant walks.

BEWARE! THE WATER IN THE TAPS IS ALMOST BOILING AND THE TAPS DO NOT OPERATE IN THE NORMAL WAY. It is very easy to turn on hot instead of cold and scald yourself. CHILDREN SHOULD NOT USE THEM! - an adult should turn the taps on and off for them. The mooring are noisy when the wind blows but one very quickly gets used to that.
