My Partner & I Have Been To Finlake 4 Times Now In

My partner & I have been to Finlake 4 times now in 15 months and the each time the park has gone down hill.

Yes it is a lovely holiday park with lovely accommodation set in some spectacular scenery but the place is poorly run.

On our last visit (early October 2010), the food in the restaurant was poor, the gym, swimming pool, and health spa areas were dirty, we booked in for a relaxing aromatherapy massage, we received a sports massage (not relaxing at all). The staff (mainly sales staff) charge around the site in 4x4 vehicles & golf buggies despite the fact there are signs of 10MPH, and to top it all I had an accident on the pitch & putt course resulting in a sufere head wound, and the only person to show any concern was the security guard. I wasn't given any first aid & had to make my own way to A&E.

We won't be going again

Set In 180 Acres Of Woodland On The Edge Of Dartmo

Set in 180 acres of Woodland on the edge of Dartmoor is both tranquil yet with plenty to do. You can fish, walk, cycle, swim, use the gym, enjoy a meal, have a facial, a massage or other beauty treatment - in fact there are many facilities and yet it remains a quiet invigorating experience every time we use it.

Find a better park and try to convince me! I won't believe it!

Haulfryn invest hugely in maintenace and development of the grounds. You will find lots of recently planted trees and shrubs as well as many mature varieties. The wildlife is a joy, with many many species of birds, rabbits, and of course the fishing lakes.

The staff are very competent and friendly - it's a wonderful relaxed environment that everyone will enjoy.

We looked around for many months before finally deciding to buy a lodge on Finlake. It was like no other park that we saw, and from an investment point of view it was a good move too. iN a time of economic recession Haulfryn are still selling lots of lodges - what does that tell you?
