Great Holiday Site

My husband and I have just returned from caister on sea .. the site was found to be one of the better maintained and clean sites I have visited. Our caravan was a prestige and we were very impressed on the standard of cleanliness.I have stayed at many of the Haven sites over the last 20 years in the same grade caravan and this would be one of the best. The Mash and Barrel was also very clean. However we found that the food was not hot enough (breakfast). Staff were all helpful and pleasant. Entertainment was good. This site is located well if you like to explore. So well done to all the teams ..

Never Again

if you have no car or a certain level of fitness do not go...i was about a mile from the complex and the nearest bar opened two nights only at 7pm..the caravan had a leak in the bathroom and we had to mop up in the morning..glasses delivered 9pm friday night...dirty laundry left outside with gulls pecking at the bags...by far the worst haven camp i have been to and i will never go again...i stuck it till sunday then we just left as all we did was sit in the caravan instead of walking a mile to the bar and a mile back....awful place ...this place should definitely let people know some caravans involve a massive walk to the complex

Bad Week

Just got back from Caister haven site , I hated ever minute of it, there was a group of us that went and on arrival all look great. the caravan its self wasn't to bad apart from no toilet brush. The club house beer was un drink able disgusting its wasn't just me the whole group of 18 had to go on bottled beer we spent more time in the pub just outside camp site. there was meant to be 2 club houses open over the weekend but one was hired out to a wedding party so he had to sit in a club house that all they did was entertain the kids , most of the night .And take plenty of money for your bottled beer it will cost a arm and a leg , we had a meal in the barrel an mash restaurant I had steak and surf and your think at 15 pounds your have a great meal when it arrived I was given a normal knife , I ask for a steak knife and after waiting 5 minutes to arrive , will I should of ask for a angle grinder to cut it I chewed on one bit for what seemed ages so I just gave up on it , we had to have another key for the caravan which was a 10 pound deposit .So on the day to leave I was in a great mood didn't have to stay there any more so we got up early to leave car packed of I go to get me 10 pound deposit only to find the reception didn't open till 9 o'clock just my luck cant even get me 10 tenner back to have a dissent pint on ,

Caister No Waster

Absolutely Fantastic. Nothing was too much trouble. Caravan was fantastic. Funstars worked endlessly to Entertain, "They were FANTASTIC". Everywhere was spotlessly clean and well maintained. 200 Mile to get there BUT will be returning. The new show bar was amazing and Immaculate.

Congratulations to all at Haven Caister Sands, you were a credit. 11 out of 10. Highly Recommended.

Best Wishes

Too Expensive

This was the worst haven park i have been to and i have been to 5,we booked the 3 bedroom delux caravan in July, the beds were made up but the bedding was damp, the fridge was ok but the freezer compartment did not work, the cooker was rubbish it took to long to cook anything and the pans were rubbish.

The entertainment was a bit of ok but not enough of it,they repeated the entertainment and quizes twice so that was really annoying.I have 2 teenagers and apart from 1 hour a day teen club there was nothing else for them unless you booked and paid between £6 to £10 for an activity. And theres no teen club fridays or sunday at all.

Mine spent the most time in the arcade which is just a big con, they play the games and get tickets you can exchange for prizes,my daughters had 10374 and tried to exchange them for something decent but there was only rubbish cheap toys that you can get from any pound shop, you needed at least over 2500 to get something decent.

If you have a child over the age of ten i would not go to a haven park because its really for 10 and under.I spent over £600 in a week and i only spent £400 in the usa for a week so its not value for money.

Our Haven Holiday

We spent a week at Caister in May 2012 and loved it so much we are planning to go back in a few months.

The funstars are amazing, especially Wayne, Stuart, Hannah and Joe.

We actually didnt even want to come home, we arrived home yesterday and are still wishing we were still there.

Our holiday was FANTASTIC and it was the funstars that made it so brilliant, they do an amazing job and we were sad to say goodbye to them.

There was so much to do we didnt even need to leave the site in the week.

Great Holiday

Eceptional entertainment team, I don't know where they get the energy from,

Everyone we came into contact with were very polite & helpfull. We took my 87 year old mother with us never had so many late nights she loved the entertainment sitting with her point of larger. We had a disabled unit accommodation.

Accomadation met all requirements, value for money holiday, off to Haven Primrose Valley Bridlington in September looking forward to it if it's anything like Caister I'm sure we'll have a good time.

Weather was the only downside, now if they could sort that out it would be ideal..

Our stay in Caister was fantastic. Caravan was clean and spacious and staff very helpful. We shall certainly be back.

Site is in good position next to beach, good paths for long walks, Caister village with in easy walking distance, bus stop convenient outside main gate with good route to Gt Yarmouth and all its attractions and shopping.
