Fort Holiday Park
Super park in a great location, close to beach, zoo, dinosaur museum, bus stop, local shop, pier and many more all within a ten minute walk most even less.Pub/restaurant on site with a discount if you are satying on site.Excaliber caravan is great, good rooms, kitchen and shower. Washing machine and dryer on site as is bathroom for those who like a bath. Games room for older kids and play area for younger ones. Lovely and quiet in the evening as most people have their kids with them who you do not even hear. No loud music or noise. Two carparks away from caravans and bus stop on door step, family ticket for seven days for the whole of the island £44.00 which we used to go everywhere. So much to do with the kids a week is not enough.Information on attractions for the whole of the island available in games room. One hidden gem is Shanklin Chine behind the Crab pub a beautiful Hansel and Gretal pub in Shanklin, number three bus. Shanklin Chine is a gorge with waterfalls.bridge, lovely plants, woodland and views. Superb in the evening as the gorge is lit up with lights.Too much to write but please enjoy.

Had A Great Time At Fort Holiday Park Had An Excal
Had a great time at fort holiday park had an Excalibur caravan with a fantastic view to culver. Could hear the lions in the zoo, kids thought it was great as right next to the play area, very clean grounds no litter and caravan was spotless. Staff were very helpful, printed off a map for us and worked out the best route to see the island. Julie very knowledgable about local places. Have already booked for 2011.

Just Returned From Another Great Holiday On The Be
Just returned from another great holiday on the beautiful Isle of Wight. First visit to Fort Holiday Park which was great because it is within walking distance to so many attractions ie the zoo, dinosaur isle, the pier and most importantly for my family, the beach. The park is clean, well maintained and very child friendly with a lovely little park onsite which the kids could go to on their own because no cars are allowed near the vans. The van was old but I knew that from the brochure and was pleasantly surprised to find it had new carpets and interior. It was very clean and cosy and would definitely recommend it to anyone wanting a relaxed quiet site with helpful staff.

Just Got Back From A Week's Holiday At Fort Holida
Just got back from a week's holiday at Fort Holiday Park, site was lovely and as others have said very handy to get into town and beach and massive play area. Pub on site was fab, my 3 year old loved playing in the indoor play area whilst waiting for his dinner to arrive and very good value for money. Only downsides for us was that the caravan we were in needed some serious updating and on the last couple of nights boy racers kept us up handbraking round the car park over the hedge from the park, wouldn't have minded an hour but went on from 10pm til about 4am!!! If I go again I'll be choosing the cheaper caravan as it looked more up to date and were far enough away to not to be bothered by the noisy neighbours!!!

Have Just Come Home From Out Third Holiday At Fort
Have just come home from out third holiday at Fort Holiday Park, and it was as great as before. Local shops nearby, get discount at the pub right by the site, as the owners of the site now also own the pub - delicious food every time. Kids love the site as there are no cars by caravans, big green area to play football, plus a playground for the younger one. Sandown beach is only a five/ten minute walk away, and if you don't drive the local buses are great.

Wow! What a fantastic holiday we've just had. The Fort Holiday Park caravan site was great for the children - no cars aloud near the vans so we were happy letting them roam. Lovely play area. Short walk to another park, crazy golf, skate park, beach, shops, pubs, etc. Thoroughly enjoyed ourselves despite the rain!!! Can't wait to go back next year.

Fort Holiday Park Has An Excellent Location Only A
Fort holiday park has an excellent location only a few minutes walk to the beach. the caravans are older than you would expect but the prices are low to reflect this. It does tell you how old the caravans are in the brochure.Sandown has a large sandy beach which has life guards on duty, we helt very safe on the Isle of WightWe will be returning as soon as we can.
Sorry but I think we actually did stay at separate parks! I'm glad you had a great time. I'm sure there are people who have had an enjoyable holiday there. I'm also conscious that things do go wrong occasionally but it's how the management handle the situation that makes the difference. On this occasion, we were completely let down by the owners and it makes me angry that they were happy to take our hard earnt money but didn't want the inconvenience of calling the police themselves or even asking us if we had managed to sort anything out. Complete ignorance!
I dont generally review holidays and to be honest you are right I only did my review after seeing yours because it was as though we had stayed at two completely different parks and wanted others to see a different side. I nearly didint go because I read your review but so glad I went and made up my own mind cause had a brilliant time!!
Something seems a little fishy here! When we went to book our holiday, there were no reviews for this holiday park anywhere on the net. The minute we leave a bad review, 2 amazing reviews spring up almost in answer to mine - has anybody checked these people aren't relatives/friends of the people who own the campsite. Call me superstitious but I'm not sure I'd believe these reviews!
