After a very long journey Friday night we found the park

Very relaxing and welcoming we are already talking about our next visit

We looked at the costs for the next school

Holidays and holland parcs are still priced sensibly unlike

The uk parks which seem to put costs up so we will only ever use

The parcs in Europe not England. Thanks to all the staff for a wonderful

Experience.

We Should Have Done More Research Before We Chose

We should have done more research before we chose De Eemhof Center Parc for our family break. We have teenage children and have spent happy weekends in Elveden Forest each November for the past five years. However de Eemhof did not meet our expectations or perhaps it is no longer the right formula. The Parc was pleasant enough but the Market Square and Action Centre more ' 'tacky' and in need of a lick of paint. The ' Old Mexico' style was considered decidely uncool by our teenage children and not somewhere they wanted to linger. Not as comercialised as the UK Parcs. No chain coffee shop etc but the gift shop was well stocked for a browse. The pool was good and we hired bikes but just not enough locally or on site to entertain for a rather wet August week. We cycled out of the camp as far as the 20th wind turbine and back but no local quaint town to visit although we spent a day in Amsterdam - Anne Frank House was well worth visiting. As we booked last minute, we had a lodge with disabled facilities - wet room etc and it smelt stale so we had to buy air fresheners. All in all, a disappointing stay. We cut our losses and came home after the 4th day.

Center Parcs - De Eemhof Was Friendly, Relaxed And

Center Parcs - De Eemhof was friendly, relaxed and well organised. Accommodation clean and quite modern, with everything you need for a holiday with the kids. Unfortunately we had an ant infestation on our first day - but we were quickly and efficiently moved to an alternative chalet which was great. New towels and sheets were also provided!

All facilities were well maintained and the indoor water park in particular was excellent, clean and safe for everyone.

All other "extra" activities (climbing wall etc) were completely booked up during our stay so booking before you go is probably the key.

Would definitely return.
