Dordogne, le Port de Limeuil

Lovely site situated in a quite road on river opposite picturesque village of Port Limeuil. Some lovely walks and cycle rides nearby and plenty of bird watching (kites especially) and small villages nearby. Two towns nearby when shopping for essentials. The village across the river was very limited in what was on offer an only really had one bar, one bakers and two restaurants, one very expensive. Definitely better facilities than the 3* suggests you will get, more like 4*+. Some shady plots which you would need in heat of summer but also some open sites for early or late holiday makers. Lots of people seem to return here year after year as it seems little known. We will certainly be going back at some time.
