Truely Travel / Teletext Holidays

Beware do not book with Teletext Holidays, I booked for 4 adults for all inclusive in tenerife, they Base their prices on 2 people sharing, when we arrived at the destination, they had only allocated a one bedroom apartment, with a child's put you up bed for an adult to sleep on, and a sofa. We complained and was told us this what we paid for, after 7 hours in reception we had no choice but to accept the room. Approx 15 calls from tenerife to London, we finally got moved, to a hotel that was so dated and unfit for use, the food was not fit for human consumption, we have been offered €80.00 compensation.... errrrrrr no Teletext Holidays. Also no point writing to the chairman, he ignores his mail let alone his manners. Please do not use either company. You'll be in for a rough holiday

We booked with Truly Travel - they kept demanding full payment a month before it was due. We then found out they ceased trading on 29/10/21. They pestered us for our payment which I paid on 2/12/21 ( we didnt know they had ceased trading)

They even told us the booking was still active - we called the hotel and although booked they had not paid for it.

Another couple had turned up at the hotel to be told they had to pay as Truly Travel had not. Absolutely disgusting.

This is my experience with this mickey mouse company. I booked a holiday through teletext holidays which is the trading name for this so called holiday company,went online and booked a holiday to Alcudia for 11 nights half board got the price seemed reasonable and payed for it up front got a confermation e mail everything seemed ok this is when my nightmare started.

A couple off days later got the flight details hotel booking forms everything looked in order till I looked at the hotel board which was booked as self catering.So I phoned them up explained the situation to a auto robot at the other end off the line who then said we will have to look into it ie the conversation with my partner they record what is said on the phone I asked just change your mistake like any other company would no chance your lying as far as they are concerned,we will contact you in a couple of days to confirm what was said after aweek I finally got through to them admitted there mistake but couldn't rectify it as something to do with the room booking total lies we will give you 20 pounds compensation they said got them to give me 100 .

By this time I had enough off there fobbing off on the phone and the rest of there nonsense I even wondered if I turned up at the hotel there would be any holiday this is how stressed out you get with dealing with a second rate company as other reviewers will tell you.

The holiday turned out ok no thanks to them, at the end off the day I reckon with the difference between the half board and self catering and the money I spent on food and other things it cost me about between 500 and 700 pounds I should have never had to spend.

To sum up if you want a stress holiday without all the anxiety,stress stay away from this  company go to a real holiday travel agent where there favourite saying isnt hold the line or we will call you back and theres the nice high phone bill at the end to pay .

Your Worst Nightmare Be Afraid Do Not Book With Truly Travel

only interested in new customers but then ........ god help you.

You will be treat terrible, you will be interrupted , the managers are even worse than the advisors.

They do not help, you can not understand them

You will be spoken to aggressively and rudely

They do not listen, they offer no help and support

Be warned once you have handed over your money that is it.

You will never be able to speak to someone unless you press the automated number as a new sale, other wise all other options you are advised to email.

If you value customer service, integrity, values this is not the company to use.

Worse Travel Agent Do Not Book!!!

Booked a holiday via teletext holidays for a trip to Turkey. To date I have spent over 3 and half hours on the phone sent 6 emails to which they do not respond.

The booking details did not arrive however they want me to pay a balance for a holiday which there agent has booked with the incorrect details.

They will not take responsibility that they there agent took down the surname incorrectly even although they have advised that the call recording clearly stated that I advised the agent on several occasions that the details where incorrect...

The agents on the phone are very pushy and would go as far to say that they try and bully you into making payments.

My last conversation took over 1 hour and a half and on several occasions they put me on hold and said that they had taken enough time with me however to date I have still to receive a booking confirmation with the correct details .

Do not book with them they just want to take your money and are not interested in resolving any issues that may arise.

They changed the cost of the holiday several times in the initial call to try and get me to confirm. Even although they had advised I could make a deposit and pay the balance when confirming payment terms they tried to take the whole amount, when I corrected the agent he advised 'you are quick'. In hindsight I should have hung up the phone and booked with another agent as the language barrier and confirmation of the holiday was difficult at each stage.

DO NOT BOOK !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Don't Book With Truly Holidays

We booked a holiday with 'Truly Holidays' in the Spring of 2013. We paid with a debit card, and when we checked the statement they had taken the full cost of the holiday including the flight. They then gave my debit card particulars to the airline, who also charge us for the flight. It took six months of threatening action and e-mails to get any satisfaction out of them. Then I received a cheque after many months in a plain envelope with no explanation or apology.

So I recommend for future travellers that you do not use this travel agency.

Avoid At All Costs

This company advertises themselves as Teletext Holidays and will do everything they can to spoil your holiday experience. They will book holidays you have never agreed to and will not refund your money. You will have to use ABTA or equivalent to get your money back. Telephone queueing time is between 20 and 40 minutes if you use option 9 on their phone system. All other phone options will tell you to send an email and cuts the line dead and they ignore the email. Avoid this company at all costs

Truly Worst Ever Holiday Company

Booked a holiday in November, which I had to amend the date of after less than 24 hours of booking. Company not helpful at all & was told either lose my £375 deposit or pay £430 to amend the date by just 1 week!! Paid up rather than disappoint other family members who were coming on the holiday. Had to email many times to get any further info. on the holiday. Emails & phone calls were ignored on many occasions. Didn't feel confident with the company right the way through the process. Final email said we would get our boarding passes emailed to us 3 days before departure - this didn't happen. Emails & phone calls ignored once again, until finally after much stress, the company sent an email on the day before departure, saying that Ryanair (who we were flying with) had changed their policy & we should have arranged our boarding passes with them 7 days before departure!! I phoned Ryanair, who were brilliant! They said that their policy with boarding passes is 7 days & up to 24 hours prior to departure. Due to the fact that Truly Travel booked the flight with their credit card I wasn't able to give the security questions regarding that credit card & password, so I still couldn't print off the boarding passes. The Ryanair lady reassured me that she could see all our names & to try to go onto "manage my bookings". The only way we were able to proceed was to make an amendment to the booking - so we paid an extra £10 each to book seats with priority boarding. We could then print off our boarding passes. I have booked holidays on the internet for about 20 years & have never dealt with such a bad company as this. By the time we finally got on our holiday we were totally stressed out. Be warned - avoid this company or Media Travel as they sometimes call themselves. They don't know what they are doing. As soon as they have got your deposit & you are committed to the holiday with them - they just don't give a damn about you. You have to do all the chasing or you are in real danger of never going on the holiday that you have paid for!!!!

booked a holiday with this company,the hotel we ended up at was not the one we booked,we checked out the following morning in to self catering appartments down the road!!and spent a fortune!!we phoned this company over and over again,and all they do is fob you off!!we are in the process of taking them to court!!

Don't Take The Chance!!!!

We travelled with this company through teletext holidays from the 6th-20th may this year. We have travelled with teletext a few times and have never had any trouble...til now! First of all we were only sent tickets by e.mail for the journey to Tenerife but when we arrived at prestwick, we're told that we were booked in, but our cases weren't! We then had to pay "off peak" price of £80 for two cases ( £140 peak times ) which we did....and we're then told that cases weren't booked on way home either. Booked wi-if in hotel 3 or4 times to get e.mail for returning tickets...never happened! What happened was a phone call telling us no cases were booked for return journey home and as yet still no e.mailed tickets...card not handy when guy phoned (cost £30 for two cases ) he phoned back next day and price had went up to £50 and we still had to ask him to e.mail tickets ( which he did ) the day before we left....my advice, stay well clear!! First time I've ever had any trouble booking holidays online and I've booked more than a few. Truly holidays have truly been the worst travel agents we have ever had to deal with online!!

Confirmation E-mail

I booked a holiday to Turkey and spoke to an advisor, who told me a confirmation e-mail had been sent. Nearly one week later and still no e-mail. After holding for half an hour on phone, spoke to another person who also told me an e-mail had been sent but still no e-mail.
