We have just returned from a family holiday in Majorca that was booked through Ola Holidays online 4 weeks ago. They were advertising deals for the Sumba Hotel in Cala Millor on Teletext Holidays and as they seemed to be far cheaper than anyone else we booked with them. The deal is they book your flights with a low cost airline, the hotel & arrange the airport transfers. Once booked you deal with the airline (eg Ryanair) & the transfer company direct. At the time I didn't see any problem with this, however, less than 12 hours before we were due to depart we got a call from Ola saying the hotel was overbooked and they could no longer honour the booking. So...we were left with flights that cost us £600 & had paid for transfers in advance with nowhere to stay. Ola Holidays were only responsible for the hotel so were washing their hands of the fact we would have been out of pocket had we cancelled everthing. Having made several frantic calls to Ola to get this resolved (their response times are appalling - can take up to an hour to return a call and their supervisor Sam is seriously unhelpful)the best they could do was offer us a 3* hotel in a completely different resort which was nowhere near comparible with the 4* hotel we had originally booked. We ended up booking a hotel through a different agent which cost us more, but with only a few hours to sort it out we were left with no choice. Beware of seemingly
