Good Service

I booked a holiday with Truely travel, the service was okay but I think they were more interested in getting me a cheap deal, as a result I got two really really bad hotels. I'm not writing about the hotels but about Truely Travel. The service was okay apart from waiting for ages for my boarding passes (I had to go to their office after waiting till two days before departure). Because one of the hotels were so bad, I left a day before the end of my stay. When I got back to the UK, I contacted Truely Travel for a refund, they 'investigated' the case and guess what???????? They refunded my one night stay in New York. So yes I will use Truely Travel again only this time I will make it clear to them that I don't mind paying extra for a little luxury.

Thanks Truely.

Honeymoon Spoiled

When booking my honeymoon with you, I was firstly quoted £1150 per person or £2300 total for 10 days at the ocean coral turqueasa resort in Mexico for a junior suite. I then requested a privilege junior suite and your customer service rep called me back with an amended upgraded quote of £2644. for the both of us. An increase of £344 for the upgrade. here is a link to the website that describes the rooms.

As you can see the base is a junior suite. that is what we got.

We requested and paid for the junior suite privilege, from the descriptions you can clearly see there is a vast difference.

I emailed them many times to make sure we were going to get this. Their response was that we had been upgraded to a junior suite. This is the base/bottom tier accommodation. When we were at the resort we did not receive this privilege upgrade which was very disappointing.

the hotel itself was amazing and we would definitely go there again, but to pay for something that we did not receive is very frustrating. when we pulled this up with the hotel, we were informed that trulyholidays/travel didn't pay the hotel the extra that we paid and couldn't give us the upgraded room until the transfer had been made. i have emailed the company and am not just waiting for a response, if no response I will be visiting their offices.

Travelclub Is Media Travel

I rang Travelclub about a Teletext holiday. The same holiday was offered by Media Travel but I avoided offers by Media Travel because of the very bad reviews it had received about customer service and reliability.

So, I clicked on the Travelclub offer and rang their number. The telephone was answered by someone saying "Hello Media Travel". When I said I thought I had rung Travelclub he said yes this is Travelclub. He said that Travelclub and Media Travel were the same company.

I told him that I was trying to avoid Media Travel because of bad reviews about their personnel and asked for his response hoping to be reassured. His response was to lie and treat me like an idiot by then saying that they were two different companies having said only seconds before that they were the same company. He made no attempt to explain or reassure.

Whether they are two companies or one company is irrelevent since they are obviously using the same call operators. Presumeably Travelclub was set up because of the bad reviews for Media Travel. Had he been honest and not blanked my comments about bad reviews and reassured me that my experience with the company would be smooth, reliable and customer friendly then I may had still done business with them but all he did was avoid the issue, lie and make no attempt at basic customer service.

I hung up and did not book the holiday.

Hi in response to all the bad press that media travel/truly travel/travelclub have had. I would just like to say I booked to go to Mallorca for 1 week in June and could not fault them. I read all the bad reviews and was really worried so called them and told them my worries about this, they reassured me all would be ok, it was, we had a great holiday and the hotel/flights were all great, no problems. I would certainly use them again.

I have used Travelclub.co.uk for the first time. the flights and hotel information on the website is accurate and the prices are very competetive. The only problem is i found it difficult to get through to them over the phone but otherwise i will use them again..

Value For Money

I had several holidays which I have booked through Travelclub and have to say I have found it much better than using some other well known holiday companies. Website has been very easy to use and provided a wide range of accomadation and flights to choose from. When comparing to other travel companies I have always found travelclub the cheapest. Each holiday has been a really good deal and had no problems on any holiday. Would recommend and definitely book again with travelclub. On one occasion there was an issue with the flight that needed to be confirmed. Flight failed and they came back immediately offering different options. The flight price had gone up by few pounds but I will not write them off considering the value for money and good service. I will use them again.

Shopping Bonanza

Shopping Bonanza Recommended by a friend who got a great deal earlier this year, I called travelclub for a late deal holiday. Not certain where we wanted to go their agent Brandon gave me a few options in Dubai and then called me the following day. The following week we boarded our emirates flight and spent a relaxing 5 days at the Jebel Ali hotel. Glad the holiday didn't cost me much as I spent a fortune on shopping.

First Timers In Sharm

We recently went to Sharm El Sheikh. This was our first holiday to sharm el sheikh, and we were very apprehensive about going. The agents at truly travel put our minds at ease straight away and provided us with superb accomodation, transfers, flights, location just everything was perfect. I am now 53 years of age and have travelled abroad three times a year for a number of years now and we have never been taken care of  so well by a travel agent before. We will be contacting trulytravel again for our next holiday.

Tisalaya Park Good For The Family

we recently booked a holiday with truly travel. We had a query when we received the invoice total. On the day of departure we contacted customers services and a gentleman first name Andy was immensely helpful. He promised to contact on me on my return from holiday to resolve the problem. True to his word my phone rang as promised and all queries were cleared. It's nice that some people still keep there promise. The holiday was great. We spent 2 weeks at Tisalaya Park hotel, Maspolamas in Spain on a half board basis.
