We used Thrissur Tourism Development Co-operative Society ( www.thrissurtourism.org ) for a Malaysia-Singapore holiday package. My family experienced such a horrible experience with this tour agency. In the beginning itself we had visa related issues in Malaysia. We spent nearly half day in the airport itself for getting visa. They didn't know how to handle the issue in the airport. We were really lucky to get the visa finally after 3-4 hrs. While we were struggling to get visa, we could see tourists from India who came with other tour operators in the same flight easily proceeding without any visa issue. This agency may offer you 3/4 star accommodation and food, but what we received was entirely the opposite. They put us in the worst hotels available in Malaysia and Singapore. That too in the most unsafe part of the city. We realized about this on the first day itself, when one family with us was fully robbed of their money on their way back to hotel. They had almost reached the hotel when few guys in a car looted them and took all the money they had. It was a very frightening experience for all in the group and that was when we realized that we were staying in the worst and most unsafe part of the city. The tour operator provided us with low quality food in the worst possible eat outs. You can't even call such places a restaurant. We along with few others stopped taking the food provided by the operator from the first day itself. So our all inclusive package became just bad accommodation with no food. In the accommodation that was provided, there were no good bathroom facility and rooms were smelly. We just somehow wanted to get back home. The Site seeing was also very limited. We were asked to spend most of our time in the hotels or go for site seeing on our own. The most astonishing part of the whole trip was that, the tour operator never accompanied us for most of the Site seeing. So if you are planning for a trip I would not recommend Thrissur Tourism Development Co-operative Society. Instead of that you can spend those days at home peacefully, you won't lose money and time. At the end of the trip you will not even have a single memorable day, instead of that you will have lot of horrible memories.
