Biggest takeaway:

We booked the 14 day platinum package for our honeymoon in July 2022. Sadly, we would not recommend booking packages with the seven holiday. If we could do it over, we would NOT have booked through them. We would have done our own research and booking. Their service and accommodations are not worth the high price for the overall experience we had. We could have done Bali much cheaper while staying at much higher quality resorts.

Overall:

The logistics were GREAT (car rides, tour pick ups, texts on what we’re doing each day) and the tours and tour guides and drivers themselves were FANTASTIC (so was our tour guide!), but we were extremely disappointed in corporate customer service and accommodations (among many other smaller issues we faced with the seven holiday- like them bringing us two hours in traffic to go to a beach club that was closed or them claiming they couldn’t make reservations somewhere and us finding out once we were there reservations were available).

Two of the hotels they booked for us as part of the itinerary were unacceptable and definitely not the ‘5 star experience’ we were sold for our honeymoon (we booked the 14 day platinum package, for nearly $9k NOT including flights). Just as an example, the hotels had stained walls, pillows and towels, cobwebs, dirty appliances and overall outdated (looked like it hasn’t been update since the 70s and we told them we wanted more modern, luxurious accommodations for our honeymoon).

Even the recent reviews for the Seminyak hotel expressed the same concerns ‘not clean, needs revamping etc’ and the price of this place compared to resorts nearby is wildly cheaper.

We were so uncomfortable at these hotels, while there, we chose to do our own research, and re booked ourselves on two occasions (for HALF of the trip). The hotels the seven originally booked us at were some of the cheapest options (we confirmed this by googling other hotels while there). Above all, they were not what we told the Seven Holiday we were looking for before we booked. (We LOVED the two hotels we rebooked ourselves at. One of them was the kayon jungle and the seven holiday told us this was in their lower, ‘gold package’ but that is definitely the better spot and aligns with what we told them we initially wanted!)

We didn’t want to leave a negative review. In fact, we waited over 9 months to give them a chance to make things right (asking them to cover the hotels we booked ourselves) and followed up multiple times and unfortunately, we were ignored for over a month at a time and once we finally received a response, it was very defensive, saying it was our fault we had a poor experience and not theirs because we selected the package itself.

They wrote ‘This package (with included hotels) were chosen by your party and you were aware of the possibility to replace one or another component of the package.’

The issue with that is we told our agent (our initial seven holiday coordinator who we do not recommend) what we were looking for and we trusted her. She assured us this would be the best package based on what we told her we wanted. We shouldn’t have had to do our own thorough research as that’s the point of paying a premium price and booking through the Seven. She did NOT recommend upgrading to different hotels based on what we told her we were looking for as we would have been willing to pay more to get what we wanted on our once in a lifetime honeymoon trip.

I will say- they did cover one of the two different hotel stays we had to book ourselves and sent us a bottle of champagne and chocolates, but this did not make up for the headaches that were caused by booking the new hotels while on our honeymoon without assistance and the other hiccups that happened on the trip. We sadly spent more time of the trip worrying about where to rebook than enjoying where we were.

Therefore, we have no choice but to leave a poor review which is sad because overall- we DO recommend a trip to Bali, just not with this company.

I also expect them to respond to this in a more defensive tone as that has sadly been what we’ve experienced from them to date.

The Seven Holiday specializes in A to Z holidays in Indonesia. Just what I needed. Nothing to think about, no hassling, no hours of searching for accommodation, no checking reviews over and over. This was perfect and never once was I disappointed: all the hotels and restaurants were of top quality. It’s amazing value for money - you can never get all this when booking it all separate by yourself (not even close). I highly recommend this travel booking agency.

This holiday, I wanted to go on an adventure. I have seen Bali and I love the place but sometimes you gotta try something new. I must say, I did miss the excellent coffee, the dining scenes, shops and spas a little sometimes during this trip but I wouldn’t have changed a thing if I could. To see the Orangutans in their natural habitat, to watch the sunrise over Borodobur - these are magical experiences I’ll never forget and the more I missed my coffee, the better it tasted when I got back from the trip. The Seven Holiday is awesome and they could give great personalized advice.

We booked a holiday package on the website of The Seven Holiday. The package included activities, transport, accommodation, 1-time dinner and 1-time lunch. We even got a welcome kit upon arrival at the airport and a bottle of wine. The driver was really friendly and always around when needed. Great travel agency - they won’t let you down!

We booked a 4-day Komodo National Park Tour through Seven Holiday in Oct 2018 which didn’t meet our expectation. Tour was executed on a weak level in comparison to similar tours and it was not matching with planning and booking. Based on the amount you need to pay to Seven Holiday it’s not recommendable.

Unfortunately, some main parts haven’t been operated during our tour such as visit of Fox Island or visit of local market in Labuan Bajo (both included in booking description) without comprehensible explanation. Or program was executed with bad planning (Komodo Island trekking only for 20mins at dusk). Overall, a lot of unused time which could have been filled with other activities or within a shorter, more effective tour.

Nevertheless, Komodo National Park is an amazing spot and its nature is just wonderful. But the guided tour itself could have been much better implemented especially when you invest that much time and money. Definitely improvable.

I usually don’t write reviews but this time I want to make an exception. I hesitated to book our trip through a travel agency but due to lack of time to make arrangements ourselves this year, we went ahead and booked a holiday package at The Seven Holiday. We wanted to avoid the most touristy places and travel a bit more off-the-beaten-track and we were very pleased with the personal attention that was given to our wish. We loved canyoning at Kali Mudah in the waterfall valleys of north Bali. We also slid down waterfalls and went cycling downhill through Bali’s rugged landscape. Special thanks to the person we dealt with for pointing out these awesome activities.

We booked our honeymoon trip through the Seven Holiday and it was more amazing than I could’ve dreamed of. We really felt in good hands from the very first inquiry we made. Nothing was too much to ask and there was no pressure. They really have great value all-inclusive honeymoon packages and you can also create your own. We chose the Royal Package and it was perfect. We were welcomed with a bottle of wine and flowers on the bed in our ocean view honeymoon suite - it was amazing! We spend 4 nights and Nusa Dua and 3 nights in the jungle of Ubud. Day trips, spa time, activities and food are all included. We didn’t need to arrange anything so we could really enjoy each other’s company to the fullest. One of the included activities was a professional photo shoot and we are so incredibly happy with the photos! Thank you so much for everything!!!

Our weekend in Bali went well, the agency worked perfectly. A personal driver and massage after a long flight is what we needed. Thank you )

Bali holidays were a literal paradise. Tour company did a superb job of determining our interest and matching our 14 days itinerary to our specific wants. As a result we managed both to relax in some of Bali luxury resorts like Puri Sebatu and Courtyard by Marriott, but also to visit Komodo and Gili islands. Recommend!

The Batur mount trekking was 2-3 hours - not too short, not too long, and above all not too difficult despite the fact that it was raining a little bit. Our guide was good telling us myths about the mount Batur and also about himself and the people living in Bali. Very knowledgeable and interesting!
