National Travel Planners

I too, had rooms "reserved" throught National Travel Planners for the International Builders' Show in Orlando. I too, received a call TWO WEEKS prior to the show from NTP saying "their wholesaler over booked....etc" They attempted to place us in a resort style hotel spread across 42 acres with two story buildings throughout. I'm sure this place would have been nice for a family vacation, but not for a business setting. The only reason we agreed to go through NTP and not the show hotel reservations is because NTP pushed us in to the agreement by saying we had by the end of that particular day to go with them and we would get the Crowne Plaza. What's funny is when they called to "offer" this other location to us, they tried to push again by saying they had offered it to other people and I needed to have a response to them by the end of that day! They were NOT AT ALL sorry for what they had done. Completely said it was their wholesalers fault. AND they were trying to charge us the same nightly rate for this 2-star resort that we would be paying for the 4-star Crowne Plaza! All the lady said was that her supervisor said they could not adjust the rates. They know they can get away with this, because by the time they call you to say they don't have rooms, you are stuck with no alternative hotel options. I so wish that I would have read these reviews before deciding to do business with NTP.

Worst experience I've ever had with a travel company. I WOULD NOT recommend to anyone.
