Wonderful service from Narayan at lumle at such a low price we did not expect too much but from the start in Hanoi and Halong bay cruise to the overnight train standard of hotels good guides great transfers in all places could not have asked for more have recommend to all my friends who were sceptical about the offer!!

My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our holiday in Nepal, and feel we have "seen the main sights" so to speak. We particularly liked the way it was tailor-made for us, e.g. we decided not to go white water rafting (due to our age!) and so our schedule was changed accordingly. The guides we had were excellent, and spoke good English. We felt well cared for and knew we could reply on them if a crisis arose. The hotels were clean and comfortable. However, at the Hotel Kantipur in Pokhara, the hot water for a shower was problematic (having to wait 5 - 10 minutes for it to become hot) and the breakfast could be improved to cater for European taste. A hot water urn, cold milk and tea bags/coffee on the breakfast counter would allow British/Europeans to pour their own tea or coffee to their liking - but in the scheme of things this is a minor detail. While at Chitwan on the Sunday we were there, a general strike was planned in Katmandu for the next day. Your company dealt with this very well, advising us to leave Chitwan to arrive back in Katmandu before the strike. We travelled back by car on the Sunday evening, and are glad to have avoided the chaos of the next day!

As a tour organiser, I would definitely recommend Lumle Holidays!

The Kailash Manasarovar 2013 trip organised by the Lumle team was perfect from start to finish. Being one of the most difficult pilgrimages in the world, attention to the minute details was critical. Narayan and his team did a wonderful job at it. We had plenty of instructions before the start of the trip and during the trip itself, so that we could be physically and mentally prepared for it. Actually, the trip turned out to be much less strenuous than what we had anticipated. Full credit for it goes to the excellent facilities provided and the very helpful and courteous support staff. Eleven support staff for 28 members is a very good ratio.

Accommodation along the way were the best available. We had been informed prior to the start of the trip that some stops in Tibet had only basic accommodation. Actually, they all exceeded our expectations and we were pleasantly surprised to see very clean rooms and bedding everywhere. The 4-star hotels in Kathmandu and Saga were as good as any in the Western world, and probably as expensive as well. The rapid rate of improvements in roads and hotels along the way may mean that in future this trip will have such hotels at all stops.

As usual in tours of this kind, the whole party of members and staff became like a big family. I am sure that many of them will maintain the links and communication well into the future. We would be excited if any of the members, who were all London-based, or the Kathmandu and Tibet based staff would visit us in the Land Down Under. "We will slip an extra shrimp on the barbie for you!"

Thank you again and congratulations to Narayan and the Lumle team for a well organised trip of a lifetime. We highly recommend Lumle for this and other tours they operate. And, I wish Suraj Sharma success in joining a Masters program in Australia.

I was a little concerned initially because I couldn't find any reviews for Lumle Holidays and they were a lot cheaper compared with other companies, but thought I would take a chance. The result – a right decision the holiday was fantastic.

We did book flights independently but the service was offered by Lumle. We arrived at Katmandu and was met with a car to take us to the hotel that was outside the main tourist area, it was basic but clean, staff friendly and the area was fine. The Katmandu city tour was excellent and the guide very informative.

Then the flight to the mountains with our guide Herka. His English was not brilliant but he taught us some Nepalese and we got along great. The trek, scenery; experience was out of this world and can’t really fault it. The tea houses that we stopped at were basic but that added to the experience. There is better accommodation, but at a price. The guides also act as waiters when you stop and do help with basically anything. The porter we had was brilliant, how he carried all the bags up the mountains (and down) I don’t know.

All in all an excellent trip that I would recommend to anybody.

From the very start when we made the initial inquiry to the flight back home, everything went smoothly. Everyone was extremely friendly and helpful at all times. When we made the initial enquiry with Lumle we were a little suspicious because their price was far cheaper than other companies. However, this proved to be nothing to worry about because the service we received was second to none at a very good price. Thanks to Narayan for the excellent booking service and a big thank you to Narendra and his team for all their efforts in making us feel very welcome in Nepal.

We must say everything was so perfectly planned, hotels in which we stayed were great, and itinerary was fantastic as we wanted.
