Grus Travel

We were due to go with them in February and are still waiting to get our refund.

We paid a deposit last oct for a trip to New Zealand and have just found out the company is no longer trading. We have completed an ATOL claim form but do not know if we will get anything back. Is anyone further on with a claim? If so what results have you had?

GRUS Travel have ceased trading 14th January 2011 and we have paid our deposit through a bank transfer without this knowledge, on 17th January 2011... Say no more!

We looked at budget holidays from Journeys Of Distinction and Allways Pacific and we have friends who have travelled with various different companies. I suppose the old saying, "you get what you pay for" best suits my mind. Overall if anyone is willing to travel with you again then that's all that needs to be said really. A very talented company delivering what they say with a little bit of something special added on top. We will be back with you Grus Travel in the future, thank you so much for the " trip of a lifetime ".

Journeys Of Distinction, well too much of a good thing can make you want more. Well done Grus Travel and the whole team, you made it feel like a real Australian experience and we can't say much more. Superb presentation and delivered with passion and commitment to your profession. You have made us feel rather special on this journey and anywhere you guys go then we are going too.

Grus Travel are just fabulous when it comes to Australia. When we began our research we looked at Journeys Of Distinction, Titan Travel, Allways Pacific and Travelsphere Holidays but we could not find what we wanted until we came across Grus Travel. They all seem to claim leisurely travel but we compared then with everybody and they had the most days spent in the most places.Grus Travel have absolutely got it right when it comes to escorted travel. They just seem to know where and when to take you to gain an insight into Australia and all it has to offer.The hotels, the food our fellow travellers...everything was just so consciously put together and nothing ever seemed to be a problem from this company from booking over the phone to making special requests before and on the tour and our tour manager was just simply at level far above what I expected.All I can say is it's fantastic and a true once in a lifetime holiday!!!!!

This certainly is a trip of a lifetime, from the moment we first contacted Stephen Pagan we knew we were dealing with a different type of tour company and we were not wrong, his relaxed well organized leisurely itinerary showed us aspects of Australia that others do not. With his superb knowledge of Australia and all things Australian we experienced a unique insight into the culture, history, flora and fauna that is Australia. We also were accommodated in first class rooms in excellent hotels. We cannot fault anything about this tour and urge anyone considering becoming a "Gruser" to go for it, you will not be disappointed.

This was my retirement present and when my husband gave it to me I almost fell to the floor. I had never been away from home for longer than two weeks but once I was on the trip it felt so comfortable. I phoned Grus Travel and spoke to them about the trip, they stayed on the phone with me for over one hour and I felt so much a part of the trip that I couldn't wait for it to start. The problem was I had to wait for six months but it soon came around.

We had high expectations for this trip and they were delivered, we were introduced to the owners. Our tour manager was excellent, he made Australia come alive. Ten out of ten Grus Travel!
