There was a good amount of communication/information via e-mail leading up to our group cruise of the Greek Isles, Turkey, and Italy. The tour agent seemed like a fun guy. Every tour has some bumps in the road, I understand that. But our group was unhappy with his arrangement of a hotel stay in Venice. We paid for an extra two nights in Venice at a five star hotel, which was very expensive. Being right in the city, this requires a boat transfer. He did not understand that, which should have been the first tip. The local agency that he dealt with charged us for the five star hotel, but switched us to cheaper one outside the city. Think pay for the Four Seasons, but get put into a Holiday Inn. So we made the best of it, expecting a refund of the $200/night difference. We never got it from the agency of from First Class Travel. They simply advised us to file a complaint with the local Better Business Bureau in the US.
