We're on our way to the airport soon, but we didn't want to leave without again thanking you for arranging and managing an amazing trip for us. We were enthralled with the sights, sounds and scenery of your country, but what really made this trip special were the people ... from Numan, who showed us the wonders of Istanbul; to the young man across the Galata Bridge who offered my mom a stool and some tea while she waited on a busy sidewalk for me to buy an electrical plug; to the writer in Sirince who built a tower (completely furnished at the top!) to protest the idiocy of government; to the man in Kabak who pulled the car out a rut in a narrow dirt path that I foolishly had followed looking for the "end of the road;" to the older gentleman riding his scooter outside Kas who stopped to help us change a flat tire; to the countless "men on the street" who somehow helped us find where we were going even though we spoke no Turkish and they spoke little or no English; and most of all, to you, who made it all possible. So often as tourists, we feel like people just look at us as a way to make money, and of course, we had that experience here too, but we NEVER had that feeling from you. Your help in planning this trip was invaluable, but more important to us, you did not abandon us while we were here. You truly were "the fixer," and you always were very gracious in making things right for us. We would not have had such a wonderful experience were it not for you.
