Dumonde Travel

A Brazilian friend who lives here in the US recommended me Dumonde Travel saying they always helped him with Amazing deals. I called and spoke to an advisor, who actually works from his home-office in Rio de Jan. He was the best travel agent I have ever dealt with and I can say I travel a lot. Lets say on the package quote he sent me, he offered me at least 3 hotel options in each every city I wanted to visit, with all the comparison between them, pictures and highlights. He gave me all the coolest local spots in each city and definitely made us feel hip locals in every single location we visited in Brazil. We knew where to go, where to eat and where to have fun. And what fun ! He spoke such amazing English that I couldn't tell if he is Brazilian and he knows his country like the palm of his hand palm. If you are looking for a QUALITY Brazil trip and the best prices, don't think twice. The trip they put together for me and my wife was so amazing and we loved Brazil so much that we plan on doing at least one trip to Brazil per year ! Maybe if we had chosen a different Travel Agency than Dumonde Travel, the trip would not be as great!.

We always use an agency when we're going somewhere that English is not the primary language. It may be a bit more expensive but we have someone to ask the right questions, convey all our weird requests and yell fix it, if it goes wrong. Since our normal agency covers European Travel only, for this trip we used Dumonde Travel www.traveldm.com, our agent was Marcelo. Everything was wonderful. We booked almost a year in advance and since the trip was for Carnaval and an Anniversary, we had a bunch of special requests. From mundane ones like an English speaking concierge and phone rental to eccentric requests like how do we get invited to enter the costume competition. We had a selection of hotels and events to choose from that matched our interests and once we picked what we wanted, he handled all the arrangements. Down to dropping off the event tickets at the hotel himself. We highly recommend Dumonde and Marcelo for anyone traveling to Brazil.
