Dovehouse Travel Is Probably The Worst Company I H
Dovehouse Travel is probably the worst company I have ever dealt with. I used them for booking cars in Portugal but their aervice was disgraceful, their attitude unbelievably bad and they have never ever heard about 'customer service'. Keep well away unless you enjoy total frustration.

I Went To Dovehouse Travel Yesterday To Book A Hol
I went to Dovehouse Travel yesterday to book a holiday for myself and partner and my daughter, the man behind was a bit flustered but certainly knew his stuff, got good seats ( extra legroom ) on the flight with good hotel to tenerife this summer and did not cost the earth. Even though the place was a bit messy the choice of holidays was immense, I had previously been into Solihull to a major travel agent and they only sold their brand of holiday and the choice of brochures was not good. Hope the holiday is as good.
I Tried To Book A Rental Car With Zitautos Through
I tried to book a rental car with Zitautos through this travel agent as they are the UK contact. The agent was slow to reply to e-mails and those that they sent were often contradictory. After chasing the booking up, 1 month after placing the booking I was telephoned by the 'owner' who was not happy. He was unprepared to listen to me. This was followed by an equally aggressive e-mail informing me that he had cancelled my booking (which incidentally he had not confirmed anyway). I will look elsewhere, but after looking at the reviews, it appears that this is a common behaviour for this company. I would advise you to keep well away, although I guess if this continues it is likely that the company be no longer exist.

I went in for some information initially about my chosen destination so that I could determine whether to choose a package holiday or book the flight and hotels (two resort) holiday separately with car hire etc. The agent was on the phone when I went in so I quietly picked up a brochure and sat down and waited. When we then spoke he was not open to discussing options without seeming to take offence as though I was questioning his knowledge - when he started getting agitated and was on the verge of a tantrum I said I'd come back later (assuming he was having a bad day) at which point he grabbed the brochures out of my hand and told me not to come back in no uncertain terms.

The travel agents are very unreliable and never return your calls, when they do all they say is how short staffed they are. We tried to book my Fiance's stag weekend through Dovehouse Travel and when we questioned how long things were taking, he accused me of telling him how to do his job and launched across the desk in rage at my Fiance. He said he was going to cancel the hotel, which he hadn't even confirmed to us, he then asked us to leave his shop and left us without any hotel accommodation at all. Luckily we have managed to book a hotel elsewhere. If you want to enjoy the experience of booking a holiday, in my opinion use another travel agent where you know you will get good service and they won't be rude to you.
I found this review helpful because...I had a similar experience of a raging/angry/rude agent and was upset that I may have caused that response (without really knowing how) - at least now I know he has a tendency to treat everyone the same way! I won't be giving him a second chance.
