Just returned from a week walking in the Dolomites staying in the Chalet Salvan in Selva Val Gardena. Had a wonderful week enhanced greatly by the outstanding service provided by chalet hosts whose youthful enthusiasm and knowledge of the area enabled us to explore and enjoy the region. Super home cooked food each evening with wine together with a great breakfast and packed lunch set you up for a great day. We hadn't stayed in a catered chalet before but would highly recommend this one. We liked to informal and friendly atmosphere including people sharing their experiences of walks and climbs to help each other plan where to go. Accommodation was very clean and comfortable very close to local transport to explore the valley and access an extensive number of cable cars providing access to wonderful mountain scenery and we'll signposted walks. If it rains don't miss the " Ice Man" museum in Bolzano it is excellent and can be accessed by bus from Selva. Altogether a great holiday.

Just returned from a week skiing with Crystal. Left on a coach at the airport for 2 1/2 hours with a rep telling us every 20 minutes, "just another 20 minutes guys". We were in fact waiting for a delayed flight from London, fine not a problem but let us sit in a warm terminal building and not a black cold coach. When I suggested to the rep he could have called us when we were ready to leave " I am so busy running around I would not have time" WRONG ANSWER. Never saw him again, although my teenagers did at various bars around the resort. We missed our evening meal due to the delay and had bread and cheese and meat with no drinks at 10pm when we finally arrived. Then we were picked up and missed breakfast as it was not open in time, and our helpful rep was moving resorts and did not even ask if we had a good time. It was again all about him and having to move on. Then we were late for our departure and arrived at Salzburg airport with so many other flights it was chaos. We queued for over an hour for security and then had to be rushed through as we were all ( lots of different groups) holding the flight up. The Crystal manager told us it was unprecedented numbers due to half term. Well manage it Crystal you know how many guests you have travelling. Inghams could teach you a lot, it was like a YTS. Never again.

It seemf to much trouble for this particular rep t get off her backside and pay us a visit in our hotel. She said it was o way. I contacted her once and she rung me back, and guess who was charged for the call. I never rung them again and only saw her when we passed the office . Not good.

went to austria with crystal holidays recently great holiday except when the reps organised a quiz night.

They charged 4 euros per person and they must have taken at least 150 euros that night and the winning team were given a bottle of wine between them, and crystal kept what was left so be warned if you are thinking of going to a quiz or ask what the prize is before you part with your cash

We booked our trip to Malcesine in October 2012 for a departure in May 2013. From the first contact with our local travel agent to our departure from Verona airport, Crystal were great - everything was so easy. If only they could have arranged for lovely weather!!! It was our first package tour & as Senior Citizens not having done anything like this before, we were a little apprehensive. We needn't have worried. Things could not have gone more smoothly. All members of the resort team were great - thanks, for the welcome walkabout in the rain!! Even the wet weather couldn't diminish his enthusiasm & it was a lovely introduction to Malcesine. We stayed at The Vega - everything about that was FANTASTIC. In summary - best hotel, best resort, best tour operator. Thanks Crystal!

They haven't a clue what they are doing and it seems like they are based in an Indian call centre and you can't understand a word they are saying. Also just noticed they've taken £5.00 from my account when I've got an email from them saying I wouldn't be charged anything, they are a joke

Crystal travel, not a company I would recommend to anyone, I booked a flight to barbados with them, unfortunately I had to change my plans, and they refused to give me anything back, I persisted and finally they said I would get a refund of £45 (what a joke), to date I still have not received it, I keep emailing them and the last time was told the first two refunds were rejected, but the third time it was going to come to my bank, I dont believe it at all. They need reporting because their practice is very iffy to say the least. I threatened them with the ombudsman but it seems they dont care either about that.

A dreadful company, even in my emails they addressed me by my surname and I told them it was rude to do that, so Im assuming its a foreign call centre as when I have called them, its very difficult to understand them.

In future I will always read reviews as everything which happened to others happened to me. Having received flight confirmation I was then told it would be another £400 or I would have to book for another date and airline. I was only informed of this after giving my credit card details online. I phoned them up immediatly and have finally been told that no money will be taken from my account, however i'm scared they will take this money at some point anyway. I'm stressed and could cry!! I havn't much money but would definatly now pay £200 more with a direct airline like Virgin over using a travel agent again just for peace of mind and to maintain my sanity.

My mum moved to Australia last year and I wanted to go and see her for a few weeks in March. I saw Crystal Travel via the skyscanner site and thought the price was brillant, so booked. Then after (stupid me should of done it before) I checked reviews, I was horrified!!! And they did just what the reviews said they would!! They called for more money before comfirming my flights and sending out my eticket. I stood my ground and said I wouldn't be paying another penny and wanted my money back on my card ASAP (as they had already taken it)They did the flights for the first price agreed and sent me my eticket, I then checked with the airlines that I was on the flight, which I was, thank god. But I agree with all comments, you are swapped around loads of peoples when trying to ask questions or check progress and you are called back from a call centre which is not based in England. It is a very, very dodgy site and I will NEVER, EVER use them again and I wouldn't suggest anybody else does. I did tell them that they have dreadful reviews on the internet but I think they already know that. I can't understand why Skyscanner would even allow a company like that on their searches!!
