Cruises On Sail Travel Sold Me An All-inclusive La
Cruises on Sail Travel sold me an all-inclusive Land Package to El Dorado Royale, Mexico. Our agreement by phone was for an accomodation called swim-up Casita Suite. When I received the final statement, I called to question why "swim-up" was not described on the statement. I was scolded by the salesman for a lack of trust in him as he "has been in business for over ten years." However, after he did agree to check, he came back to explain that his broker bought in bulk and could not guarantee "swim-up." However, he explained, the request that he entered for "swim-up" would likely be honored upon arrival, much as non-smoking requests are honored for hotel accomodations. What did happen is that my son (this trip was a wedding gift) was up-graded at a cost of $360. He did not respond to my email, nor return my first call, but when he did answer the phone on 8/16, he explained that his broker (Apple Vacations) had no record of a charge at the hotel and that the desk cleark likely pocketed the amount charged. (I can't imagine how a clerk can pocket a credit card charge.) He feels no responsibility for this additional charge.
