I have been once before and winged it. This time I went with an agency and will again. I had read good reviews on Trip Advisor about CR Referrals. I found communication to be good, knowledgeable agents and I had excellent guides throughout the trip.

The Bara Honda Caves I never would have found or thought of as a tour, I didn't even know they existed. Rio Celeste waterfall was amazing, I liked the Hot Springs, everything was handled to a "T"

I also learned in my research that the company has connections to many animal charities and dog rescue centers in Costa Rica. I have 2 dogs at home I rescued so I really liked making that connection with them. My agent was an animal lover and we had some very nice correspondents complete with sharing photos of our furry kids.

Would absolutely recommend them for anyone wanting to get expert help on a trip.

I have traveled on 2 Costa Rica Vacations with CR Referrals and I am so far very impressed. I would recommend the company to anyone wanting a vacation down that way.

Emails answered quickly, custom itineraries that fit my travel style and budget, and no hassles. My only complaint is that they only handle travel in Costa Rica, I wish they could be a full time planner for all my trips world wide.

My last trip was cut short with a family emergency back home, I needed to be on a plane first thing after only 2 nights out of 13. I called the 24 hour trip support and was able to reach my agent Catalina. Long story short she went above and beyond. She was not able to get me a $ refund for the trip, but she did get the hotel, transfers and tours to honor my vacation at a later date. This is more then I could have hoped for.

It's not often you find companies that care first for a client, when you do, consider yourself lucky.
