Two days before the New Years Eve we were in a rush to book a short sky-holiday. We couldn't afford to go to Austria (long distance from Bucharest) and we decided to try Bulgaria (Bansko, Borovets or Pamporovo). Bansko and Borovets were more expensive and the holyday deals gone so we decided to go to Pamporovo and stay at Perelik Hotel. Romanian travel agencies offered the same package of 3 nights - half board and Gala Dinner for 2 people in double room at 400 - 440 euro. We booked with Bulgaria-hotels and the price was 318 euro (including resort fees). But, big problem! No international card! No euro account We went to the bank, we tried to open one and explain the emergency. The bank explained that they cannot guarantee the transfer in less than 6 working days. We contacted Bulgaria hotels (Miss Anita Valcheva - whom we thank from the bottom of our heart) and explained the situation. Surprisingly, she said that everything will be just fine: they make the reservation for us, we leave for Pamporovo and we pay to the Pamporovo representative there. When we arrived at the hotel, we received an envelope with "welcome" from Miss Galina Dafova and a discount card (10% to some of the restaurants in the area). We checked in (without paying) and paid later when Miss Galina came to the hotel to meet us. Great travel agent! She told us everything we needed to know and even more! We were really surprised to see such professionalism! Thank you, Bulgaria-hotels! We had a great holyday!
