We booked through Blueskies for a privately run unit at Wings Mantra, Surfer's Paradise and our experience with them was awful. After paying for our 3 day weekend in full online we recieved an email that a late check in (after 5pm) would cost an extra $30. Upon arrival we were rudely told that they would require a $500 bond because my youngest sister was 17 (even though the 4 others of us were aged from 20 to 29). It was apparently NSW schoolies week. However, no mention of the bond or schoolies was mentioned upon booking. After a few very rude conversations we agreed to this $500 bond as we were sure we would get it back. When we arrived the unit was disgusting. There were stains all over the walls, curtains and carpet, a Hungry Jacks wrapper in the bedroom, cupboard, the toilets were very unclean, and there were beer caps and a cigarette lighter in the lounge room. We left the place MUCH cleaner then we found it and checked out. The same day we recieved a phone call informing us that they would be taking our $500 because there were carpet stains. When we told them that these were PRE-EXISTING we were told that it was there word against ours. They did not perform an inspection before we checked in but they told us they did when we were present. Which was completly untrue. After many long and stressful phone calls from 3 of us to the owners and different members of Blueskies we were told we would have $100 taken out of our bond. What could we do they already had our money. After what was supposed to be a relaxing weekend away we were too exhausted to fight anymore. I just wanted to warn everyone not to book through this company as our entire experience was very dissapointing, deceptive and completely unprofessional. We were used, bullied, and blamed for something we had nothing to do with.
