Can't Be Any Truer: You Get What You Pay
Legitimate company but trying all kind of borderline scams on you. The low price is a bait. Once paid, you are hooked and they will not let you go without paying more for one thing or another. Do you have the strong nerve to bark back at their thug-alike bullies and do you need this added high stress? Think again before you pay their cheap price. There is a very good reason why they are so cheap.
I made the mistake of buying 2 tickets with them. One ticket was issued with a wrong name. When I called them up, they wanted £500 more because the airfare price had increased - and the increase was due to: "Well, you surely know that price increases all the time, don't you?!!". What kind of excuse was that! Never mind my inquiry about the wrong name. I told them that once the ticket was paid, there were only a few conditions where the law permits a price increase, and that "forever increasing price" is not legal.
Yet they refused to correct the name on the ticket without me paying the penalty fee of re-issuing a ticket. I threatened to cancel and demanded a full refund. They welcomed this and informed me of the cancelation fee and the administration fee. I asked for their T&Cs and to speak to the Manager. After a week and much stress on negotiating the fee to correct the name, I gave in to pay an extra £75. That was the sum for keeping my sanity, I could not stand another day calling and chasing them.
I double-checked by calling the airline directly and confirmed that all the details on the tickets were correct. I found out that on the second ticket, the birthdate was incorrect. Perhaps not as grave as an incorrect name, but still, I could not afford being turned down at the airport because the birthdate did not match with that at the passport. I was on the border of breaking down and crying. I could not imagine having to do another round of battle with those thugs. I pleaded with the airline to correct that birthdate. Luckily the airline was very understanding of the situation and helpfully re-issued my ticket without charging me anything.
Never ever again with these 9flights thugs. I would directly go with the airline. Their higher price is totally justified and so reasonable considering their high quality customer service. I did not have any peace of mind until I passed all the check-in and waited at the gate for boarding. I was terrified of finding out another error on the tickets. I can stand rude and unprofessional customer service, but 9flights is totally another league. I would not be surprised at all if they in fact make profit by deliberately issuing tickets with incorrect details, more than one error if possible, in order to demand this fee and that fee. Does not worth the hassle and certainly not the stress. Avoid at all cost.
9flights. Dreadful. Give This Company A Wide Berth
Terrible company. Give them a wide berth. Omitted to tell us at any stage of booking that we were required to make independent transfer arrangements from London City airport to Heathrow ( we were travelling with Air France from Edinburgh to New York). We ended up finding out at check in that we would have to take 3 trains across central London at morning rush hour lugging 60 kilos of luggage up and down escalators and stairs. A fabulous start to the holiday. The clowns at 9 flights have yet to acknowledge that such a requirement might have been a booking deal breaker, take any responsibility for their failure to provide vital information to the customer or offer any kind of apology. No one in their complaints department seems to have an understanding of the English language and we have yet to receive a response that is coherent or makes any kind of sense. So be warned - steer clear. If you're in any doubt still - look at the FAQs and answers on their website - will give you an idea of just how professional this firm isnt! Wish I'd thought to look at that before booking!
Straightforward, No Hassle.
I flew through 9flights within Europe over the 2013 August Bank holiday. I realise most other people on here are complaining; however I have no complaints at all about the service I received; quite the reverse. So I'd like to be fair.
I booked last minute (only a week ahead) for a flight from the UK to Berlin so it wasn't cheap. 9flights were the same price (within about £5) as 2 other sites & I just preferred their website.
After paying, the confirmation emails, with airline ref no.s, came within 2 hours & I went on to the airlines' websites to check my bookings - all good. I printed my details, travelled the next Friday, returned safely and on time. [P.S. Berlin is fantastic!]
On the plus side - I had 2 national airlines, thus 1. a decent cabin & baggage allowance (I'm used to going EasyJet who try to make you take stuff out or pay extra. 2. Free snacks on board. 3. All 4 flights were on time. Also 4. Everything went smoothly like it's meant to.
On the down side - I couldn't go direct (flights full or too expensive) so it meant an overnight stay in Zurich one way. (I booked into their day rooms, cheaper than a hotel). Still, the other way was a quick transfer.
Basically I got what I paid for. It wasn't cheap or direct, but I'd left it really late so I expected that. I was pleasantly surprised at the airlines I got. I didn't make any changes and didn't need to phone the company. Other people have been unlucky and I might be wary of going to Asia with them (less consumer protection & I don't know the local languages), but my own experience was fine and I hope other people's are too. These People Are Out And Out Liars
Do not use this company at all, they will rob you of your money, there customer service is based in India and it's dreadful. They owe me about £270.00 but I don't think it's worth going to court over that amount.
I have nothing positive to say about them. If you do book with them it's at your peril. STAY AWAY.

9flights/Crystal Travel are not a nice company.
I recently had to take them to court to recover money lost due to them changing my flights (booked five months previously) at the last minute. I gave them ample opportunity to remedy the problem but ended up having to book alternative return flights elsewhere. Dealing with their customer services is one of the most futile and frustrating experiences of my life. The saga dragged on all through the month I was away on holiday and then eventually after six months back home I filed a claim in the courts against them. They settled in full before it went to court but I don't feel I would have got back the money owed if I hadn't done this.
I think their business model relies on most people giving up and not chasing what is owed to them.
Not worth the hassle. Buy direct from the airline. I wish I had!
If you are already involved in a dispute with them, all I can say is don't waste your time trying to resolve the problem on the phone or by email or in writing. They don't respond and will continuously fob you off with lies and excuses. I wasted over 60 phone calls, tens of emails and several written letters trying to communicate with them and didn't manage to extract a single significant response. The only thing they respond to is the court.
I had the same problem! they cancelled my flight just a few hours before my flight and forced me to change to Aeroflot! I had spent so many hours during the layover and it was horrible! I sent complaints to them but no one replied!

Booked A Flight On Line, Then They Cancelled It, T
Booked a flight on line, then they cancelled it, then it was reinstated and then they said that I had cancelled my original booking. Then they said iI would have to pay cancellation charges for my original booking. Do not use this company. Their customer service which is in India is a joke.
Do Not Use Under Any Circumstances
Without doubt the worst customer service I've ever recieved by far
I booked a flight, the flight was changed to a different day by the airline but 9 flights didn't inform me of this change by either phone or email. I only found out when I double checked my itenary on the airlines website a week before departure
I couldn't make the new flight time so I tried to change my flight to a different flight with the same airline. However I couldn't contact the airline directly as the booking was through 9 flights. The jokers there sat on my request to change to a later flight for 2 days untill all the flights were booked up, so I had to book my own flight at the last minute at extreme cost.
I made £90 of phone calls from Australia trying to sort this out, when I returned they said that not informing customers of flight changes is acting appropriately and refused to refund my phone costs.
There customer services is a complete joke. You're put on hold for 20-30 minutes, cut off the call at random and when you finally speak to someone they have trouble understanding the basic concepts you are trying to get across and it's like banging your head against a wall
Absolutely Terrible
I tried to book a flight to Hong Kong via Zurich, They booked a flight for me to Hong Kong via Moscow instead,which I have to wait in Moscow for 16 Hours!!! When I call to ask why, they say its my fault.
