We had never heard of Wayfairer before and we were cautious because of this. After researching the company all reviews were extremely positive so we included them in our list of 5 companies to compare.We were a family group of 10 travelling, elderly parents (but who have a great sense of adventure and positive outlook) ourselves and 4 grown up children and their two partners. This was definitely going to be an interesting group for some-one to find a tour that would suit everyone.

Once our representative from Wayfairer realised the key points we wanted to include, he put together a really detailed itinerary. Over the next month we compared it with others and compared the accommodation, trips and prices. In every way Wayfairer stood out from everyone else. The rep had great patience, listing to everything we said and advising and amending the itinerary until we were happy with it. At the end of our correspondence where I was finalising the itinerary I felt embarrassed at how many e mails I'd sent and the rep had responded to!

The trip started in Ho Chi Ming city, where we explored the history and culture. We had some nights in Cambodia - most memorable moment was watching the sunrise over Angkor Wat, flew back into Hoi Ann, flew to Hanoi and did the most amazing cruise on Halong Bay and finished our holiday in Bangkok. The accommodation was amazing, we loved the beach stays as they were so different.Our guides throughout were knowledgeable and so pleasant.

Just returned from 3 weeks in Thailand organised by Wayfairer. My wife and I normally like to travel independently and arrange everything ourselves having traveled extensively as backpackers in our younger days. Now with 3 teenage daughters who normally find it impossible to get out of bed until the afternoon we felt it would be less stressful if the whole itinerary was organised from start to finish. Our trip was organised as a private tour so we had our own air conditioned mini van, driver and tour guide throughout the trip. This was a completely stress free trip as a result. My family have a lot of complex dietary requirements and our guides were invaluable in organising the correct foods for us. Additionally there were many things that we probably would not have done had we not had a guide with us because we don't speak t he language. The home stay in a hill village was a lovely experience. We wanted a mix of culture, temples, wildlife, scenery and beach and the itinerary put forward by Harry from Wayfairer was perfect for us. We were able to contact Harry or Tom throughout the trip via email. There was one small hiccup with one of the hotel bookings but it was sorted out very quickly with a phone call from the local English office manager in Bangkok and we were given a refund on the nights accommodation and a choice of alternative accommodation for the next night plus a spa treatment each as compensation. The mix of different accommodation styles, 4 star hotels, raft houses, tree houses , home stay and glamping made the holiday interesting varied and memorable.

From start to finish myself and my partner cannot fault Wayfairer Travel and the excellent staff we dealt with. All their recommendations were accurate and their help and advise faultless. They were always on hand with answers to any questions, even when we were on holiday and felt well and truly looked after. We have recently returned from a fantastic 8 night break to Tanzania which we booked through Wayfairer. The agent who organised our trip listened carefully to what we were looking for and tailored the itinerary perfectly.

The excellent customer service also continued when we arrived and were looked after by the local team in Tanzania. Our trek and safari were extremely well organised and everything in the itinerary worked like clockwork.

My partner and I choose wayfairer travel and didn't know what to expect with Laos other than it wasn't heavily over touristy. We went for two weeks this covered both our birthdays. I couldn't have asked for more. The company provided us with a full itinerary, and highlighter our birthdays. The tour guide was wonderful and helpful in every way. As with all holidays one expects some kind of disruption and with this our internal flight was cancelled. The tour guide came up with a back up plan that didn't cost us and made us both glad the flight was cancelled due to thunderstorms. Any extras we wanted, eg elephant riding was added to our itinerary with no hassle. the person I dealt with was unique and made our first 10 days in Laos brilliant. He handed us over to another tour guide in Paske who was equally as brilliant and helpful even did a house call when one of us was ill. We both felt confident in all their ability and safe.

We dreamed of a fun filled, different, culture infused and wow factor holiday you delivered 100%. Tour guides and driver excellent in helpfulness, knowledge of locations and history, safety of driving. Just amazing can't fault this holiday. I will be using Wayfairer again most certainly... Safari it is next xx

Wayfairer Travel UK could not have done a better job of organising our holiday to Vietnam. Every detail was covered & prompt replies to any queries we had were amazing.

The hotels which

were recommended were above expectations. We were a little disappointed with the tour of HCMC as I am sure there is more to see than a post office, cathedral & the outside of the opera house.

Phu Quoc island Is beautiful & La Veranda hotel is something special.

I've been travelling Asia for 4 months now and thus used a number of tour companies both big and small, and I have to say Wayfairer is probably the best of the lot.

Efficiently recommended a days itinerary for a tour of the temples of Angkor based on my expectations, and it was delivered with unrivalled excellence.

My husband and I chose to do a 2 week bespoke safari in Kenya. We travel frequently but we had not been to Africa and chose to work with a professional that could help us not only with ideas for the trip, but could organize the logistics of a safari. Our agent was responsive to our ideas, gave us feedback, and then created the perfect itinerary for us. Not only were we impressed with our itinerary, we also found that other travelers and the managers and staff at the lodges were impressed as well. We had a wonderful balance of seeing different areas of Kenya but still having enough time at each to feel relaxed and enjoy each lodge and area. We were also pleased that the lodges that we stayed at truly give back to their community and also try to minimize their ecological impact.

We booked a safari in southern Tanzania followed by some relaxing time on Mafia Island - definitely the best holiday we've ever been on! Our travel consultant helped us find the perfect safari camp for us in the Selous and it was everything we hoped for and more. We saw wild dog which has been a dream of my husband's for a long time and I'm so thrilled that this time we did finally see them!!! We were thinking about Zanzibar but Wayfairer got it spot on with the recommendation of Mafia Island which is so remote and peaceful and was exactly what we were after. The accommodation was no frills which is just the way we like it. Thanks so much to the whole Wayfairer team who organised everything for us and we didn't have to worry about a thing. Highly recommend their service and love the fact that everything they do is based on fairness and treating people and place with dignity and respect. We'll be back!

We went on a 2 week Cambodia holiday with Wayfarer. This was the first time I went on a tailor-made holiday, and I could not have wished for a better experience. The reason we chose Wayfairer was because they offered an itinary that included a wide range of activities: nature, culture, beach, entertainment, politics and everyday life were all covered. We then developed a somewhat adapted schedule after discussing with their team. They were open to every request: want a cheaper gurst house? Can be done. An extra day on the beach? No problem. Change the order of events? Anytime. They also provided assistance in getting the right documentation for flights, made phone calls for us and were a very responsive resource for any practical help we needed.

After we arrived, everything went like clockwork. Our local guides and drivers were always on time, and excellently trained: whether it was the history of temples or the main industries of the provines we were passing, they had answers to everything. For everybody who has, like most of us in regular jobs, limited time: go for a guided tour! You save so much time and stress compared to organising your own transport, guest house and information, and it was so much more relaxing. We had little reason to change the itinary, but changes (within reason) were always possible, so it's not like a package holiday where you are carted away from your favourite spot after a 30 minute photo stop.

Consider a Wayfarer holiday the equivalent of a tailor made suit compared to an off the shelf tracksuit: It'll make you feel like a star.
