We Thoroughly Enjoyed Our Safari

We are now back home after a week in Kenya. Everything was positively fabulous Kenya, Plan safari Ltd really understood where we were coming from!! All the camps they selected for us were great....some not as flash as others but that didn't matter, all had character!. Looking back we can't decide where we enjoyed most!! Mara West Camp was wonderful, thank you peter for that suggestion , we loved Samburu!! The terrain and sceneries were amazing, our guide Nicolas really made that one special. Laikipia was out of this world and Maasai mara was also terrific. We saw great game everywhere....lions stalking cheetahs in Samburu, elephants and hippos slightly outraged by us at the Ewaso nyiro river plus following a pride of lions on the hunt at night... wow!! Wild dogs chasing a warthog , many more lions and their cubs, leopard...wow,.. and tens of majestic giraffe and thousands of wildebeest and zebras! We were lucky to spot the elusive serval cat twice and , of course, beauitiful springbox, impala, rhinos, jackals, many birds and on the list goes!!

We would highly recommend Plan Safari ltd for giving us one of the best moments in our lives to anyone going to Kenya looking for a great time and amazing safari.

Fantastic Trip To Kruger

My wife and I are just back from a weeklong safari to Southern Africa of which five days were spent on a safari to the greater Kruger National Park and one day spent on a wine tasting tour.

This one in a lifetime trip was all arranged through Plan safari Ltd, a very competent and professional company.

All communications with Godfrey were very fast and very detailed and after trading a few e-mails we booked our safari to the Greater Kruger. Godfrey came to pick up from the airport when arrived and drove us the One world Hotel which is a few minutes drive from the airport. This hotel is very spacious, clean and the staff there are very “warm”, this was indeed a very positive welcome to South Africa and we already had high spirits.

The following morning we were transferred to the airport for our flight to Kruger, the flight too approximately 1 hour. We were met by our guide Norman from Plan Safari who gave us a briefing before heading to Kruger. We had our first sighting of a jackal immediately entered the park and many more animals came along the way after as we headed to the Skukuza camp for our lunch. We spent the next two days at this lovely camp and the last two nights was spent at the equally good Pretoriuskop Camp, which is about an hours drive from the Skukuza.

Being keen and ardent lovers of birds, we took most of our time searching for the birds and indeed we had great success as we saw the guinea fowl, African spoonbill, barteleurs eagle, white pelican, great egret, the glossy starling, koori bustard scops owl, African fish eagle, a variety of vultures, gray heron, a southern ground hornbill, southern yellow billed hornbill and of course not to be missed for its size the Ostrich which we caught having a courting dance, a very interesting one indeed.

As for the animals, these were plenty and couldn’t count. We saw a jackal, several lions, crocodiles, vervet monkeys, waterbuck, kudu, squirrels, hares, klipspringers, many impalas and antelopes, spotted genet cat, nyala, steenbok, common duiker, elephants, buffaloes, tsessebe, a mongoose, baboons, leopards three times and hippos.

This was possible with the tireless effort of our guide Norman, a great guide, hard working and a good game tracker.

We left Kruger after lunch on our last day and arrived back in the evening at the One world hotel.

On our last day we went out on a wine tasting tour in the wine country and learned a learned a lot of history about this place from our guide before being transferred to the airport for our late night flight back home.

The trip went well smoothly and we enjoyed our time in SA to the fullest. Plan Safari ltd is a great company and you should book your safaris with them, you will be well taken care of. They will make your holiday come true and one to remember.

Absolutely Professional,

We arranged a four day safari to the Maasai mara a week ago with Plan Safari ltd. From the first e-mail that we sent to Peter, the pick up from the airport when we arrived very early in the morning and the entire safari, all was brilliantly arranged and worked like clockwork. excellent communication from start to finish and service only next to none. Booking of the safari and paying was very easy as we did all this on-line from the comfort of our home, very convenient.

our guide Joseph was fun to be with, very informative, patient, knowledgeable and we like his sense of humour. He answered all the questions we had during our safari and explained about each animal or bird into details.

Peter chose for us to stay at the Mara Serena safari lodge and Sarova lion hill in Nakuru, both places were great and we really loved it. Mara serena is centrally located within the reserve and this meant we started our game viewing even before we left the lodge. The view from our room was great and we often saw giraffes, buffaloes and hippos pass by. Food there was of high standards and the very friendly and helpful staff contributed to the overall good experience. The exquisite design, looking like the traditional maasai manyattas. We felt the real Africa at there.

The Lion Hill lodge was equally good and right inside Lake Nakuru park which meant we took minimal time to go out on our game drives. Food was buffet style and was good.

Besides the lodges, we got exactly what we wanted as we saw the big five, probably two or more times while the safari plus many other animals, thanks to the effort put forth by our hawk-eyed guide, Joseph.

We had a private 4x4 safari land cruiser which was also very convenient as we could decide when and how long we wanted to be out on the game drives.

On our last day, we were taken for lunch at the carnivore restaurant (had not paid for this) and had a short tour of the City of Nairobi again for free where we did buy some souvenirs before being transferred to the airport for our flight back home.

Can't recommend Plan Safari Ltd enough.

Would highly recommend this company to anyone travelling to Kenya for safari. Great service, professional and good value for your money.

Should you want any help or have any questions you may feel free to write to me;

Amazing Kenya And Tanzania Safari

Myself, my fiancee and my parents have just come back from kenya where we did an amazing 8 days- 7 nights safari in Kenya and Tanzania.

We arranged our safari through Plan Safari ltd after reading many glowing reviews online.

We had two nights at Amboseli's Oltukai Lodge, 1 night at the Lake Manyara's Serena Lodge, 2 nights at the Serengeti Serena, 1 night at the Serengeti Serena and 1 night at the Tarangire river camp. All the accommodations we used were of great standard from cleanliness to great food and excellent service from the very friendly staff we met in all of the places we stayed.

We saw everything during our safari including a leopard twice! One in the Serengeti and another one we saw at Tarangire. We have been on Safari two times before but never seen a leopard, this was something very special for us and we really enjoyed taking the many pictures of these lovely cats. Other than the leopard, we saw amost all the animals including rhinos, elephants, lion prides, cheetahs, a large python swallowing an impala, wild dogs hunting but didn't see them kill and a poor male lion filled with porcupine quills all over his face, he must have chosen the wrong dinner! Most interesting was an ostrich mating dance, these elegant looking birds were just amazing with the dancing routine which was very well choreographed. The dance lasted about 7 minutes and we were all glued to these two bird for that long. It ended with the female running away leavig the poor male ostrich "crying".

We were assigned two guides, Joseph took care of us during the three days in Amboseli and Timothy was our guide for the last five days in Tanzania. The guides were both very experienced, patient and educative. They seemed to know the areas quite well and explained each animals behaviour to details including birds which we have never seen or heard before, that was interesting.

We also visited a remote Maasai village in the Western edge of Serengeti which was very authentic as oposed to the other commercial maasai villages we have been. This was a great experience to have first hand contact with a tribe who are very rich in their culture that left everyone of us envying them, they so relaxed, a very simple organised way of living with only resources being the cattle and goats that they keep, no luxuries but they seemed to be more comfotable than most of us in the modern world. We arrived as they were having a traditional wedding and this was truely amazing. The entertaiment dances and rituals we saw were not stage planned but a normal ceremony, something very rare to comeby whilst on safari.

Best Ever Safari-plan Safari You Are Great!

We had a two week break at mombasa at the Voyager Beach resort. During this time, we did a three days- 2 night air safari to Maasai mara.

This was a pre-arranged safari before we left the U.S. All done online with a few e-mail exchange. The communication was first and emails were replied almost instantly by peter who is the sales person for Kenya.

We had contacted several tour operators in Kenya but we ended choosing plan Safari ltd for their propmtness in email communication and attention to details. The booking part was easy and very convinient for us as we only submitted an online booking form and paid a small deposit with our credit card, all done in a few minutes.

I couldn't fault the Mara Serena where we stayed for the two nights as the location was perfect and we were very lucky to witness the great migration. The food there was great, nice clean rooms and a wonderful swimming pool.

We were picked up from the Hotel voyager to the Mombasa airport where we flew directlyt to the Maasai mara in a small 18 seater plane which I had earlier thought was not safe but it all turned out uneventful. We made several stops in the maasai mara to drop off clients at their various camps and I can say i really enjoyed it.

Peter at Plan Safari Ltd Ltd is tremendously helpful and very efficient. We got a pair of carved kissing/fondling giraffes on returning from the Maasai mara, a very nice gift and we really appreciated, a good rememberance of Kenya and our honeymoon.

Plan safari ltd truelly offers "service with distinction"

Can recommend them enough. If anyone is travelling to Kenya, this is the best company to use.

Professional And Excellent Service

We wentto Kenya end of July 2012 and used PLAN SAFARI for our 6 days Safari to Mt. Kenya, Meru, Lake Nakuru and Hells Gate. From the initial contact to finalising the safari plans, PLAN safari were very good at it.

All the planning was flawless especially the easy way of handling our payments, that was main reason we chose this company as out of the seven operators we contacted, only two operators credit card payment with the other one being too pricey.

We really needed this kind of service as we have never been africa before and did not want to risk our life savings through bank wire transfer or traveling with cash.

The itinerary and choice of accommodation were great.

We really enjoyed the safari as we did see the big five both at the Sweetwaters and Maasai mara, the migration that was awesome though we were not lucky to see the actual river crossing. The trip was relaxed and we spend quality time in both the three places we visited.

Naivasha was particularly great for the boys as they engaged in the various day activities available. We did the game-walking safari, cycling in the morning hours and a boat trip to the crescent Island at Lake Naivasha that was also brilliant.

The safari vehicle we had was very comfortable and was equiped with air conditioning- necessary for the rather dusty and rough roads. The guide Tim was a great guy to be with, very knowledgeable and interesting.

Plan Safari ltd are offer great service and good value for money and would definitely recommend them to anyone who would like a memorable safari in Africa.
