Unreliable, Aweful Customer Service Once You Get To India!

Just arrived from a very disappointing visit to India thanks to "The Holiday India Tour Company and its pitiful lack of professionalism and disregard for tourists' comfort, concerns and safety. We are 3 women that trusted this agency to advice us on how to best visit and enjoy their country for which they were supposed to be experts... India! The planning and all requests were agreed upon and we paid. When we visited the different cities we were shown one site or two then taken to the hotel until the next day on which we would travel 6 hours to do the same for 4 consecutive days. We spent most of our trip in a car not sightseeing. After arriving at these cities, the guides tried and succeeded to charge us for things that were included in the trip and pocketed the cash. We had to go online to see what other things there were to do at that place in order to get out of the hotel and make use of our time there. Several times there were shows and places that we would have missed had we not told them to take us there or pay to be taken there. They showed very little respect to tourist especially women. Our guide got off the car turned around and urinated in front of US! This is very common in India, but those working with tourists must be aware of how offensive that is, especially to women!

In Varanasi the train was delayed over 5 hours!!! It was already 3 in the morning!!! THEHOLIDAYINDIA never mentioned the possibility of that happening prior to us getting to the filthy train station there… The train ride would take 12 hours to get to Agra!!! Why in the world would a travel agent not advise a client that trains in India are ALWAYS delayed??? Why wouldn’t they offer the option of flying to Agra via Delhi???? Why would they not give us a night in a hotel versus telling us that “their job was to take us to the train station and they would not do anything else for us”… We called every number that they claim to have and got no answer. No help at ALL! Bottom line is that we had to book a flight online to Delhi and drove to Agra paying it all ourselves since they threatened to leave us at a bus station if we did not pay the driver…. who by the way was supposed to have been paid as well as the other expenses of the trip when we booked and paid for the trip.

I DO NOT recommend this agency to anyone especially if you are totally dependent on their guidance and orientation. They have no regards for your safety and much less for your time and comfort. I will be happy to give more specific information if you would like.

I also got taken in by this company under a different name. They are happy to take your money and after that the deception shows. It is telling that the company changes its trading name to hide - look at the reviews under Holiday Links.

This is really great that everything is being sorted now. As per your requirement I am attaching the revised performa Invoice. Please find the attachment.

After removing the flight cost i.e. INR 217600 the total package cost is INR 454376. Since you have already paid INR 491600 so the due amount which we have to refund you is INR 37224 and that will done before your arrival to India. So please don’t worry about that.

Original below see what changes were done this was suppose to be a trip to spoil the ladies in the family but turned out to be a nightmare .most of the quality of accommodation was not to our standard which I paid for in advance , please also arrange for refund that was overpaid due to me having to arrange my own flights and for downgrades.

Moving from one hotel to another also disrupted our tour schedule so we could not enjoy any tours, did not go to 80% that was on tour schedule.

It seems like I trusted the wrong people.

There is much more I could complain about but I know this will make no difference .

A Satisfying Tour With Hi Destination

My family and I enjoyed the whole trip. The arrangements were good and your local contact (name removed) and (name removed) were there to take care of us.

The trip to pangong was the highlight and i took a wise decision to stay there for a night, though we battled the weather there…it was worth the battle the gentleman who drove us around (name removed) was very effective and efficient. His behaviour was impeccable and we had an opportunity to click a photograph with his family as well.

Overall, we were very happy with our holidays
