I just returned from a trip to Israel and Jordan.

When I started to planned my trip I addressed several travel agencies in Israel, Jordan and in my own country, Spain. It must be said that my trip was a bit special or customized as I was travelling with my mother and a wheelchair. Despite my mother can walk slowly with her stick, she needs a wheelchair (especially in tourism) as she cannot stand for long and keep a normal pace. For this reason, we could not take any tour to Jordan organized and designed for groups.

Among all the travel agencies I contacted, my trip was taking form through a company called “ATLAS TOUR” based in Amman (Jordan). As I did with all the other travel agencies, I explained them my needs and aims in the trip, providing them dates and places to visit and compelling factors (wheelchair, collection in Jerusalem and end of the trip in Tel Aviv…).

Soon, I realized that Atlas Tour was the company I should choose, not only because its quotation was reasonable (some travel agencies went mad in terms of price) but mainly for the customer care they provided me, offering me all the options available and suggestions based on their long experience in this market and knowledge of the area, and therefore adapting their services to our needs.

At this point, I must name the great professional in Atlas Tour who took care of our case, Ms Izabela Wieczorek. I only know her by our emails and a few telephone conversations but I am sure that part of the success of our trip was achieved thanks to her professionalism, experience, care and attention.

Our trip was soon designed and adapted to our needs. It basically comprised of:

-Collecting us in our hotel in Jerusalem and transport us to Jordan. Our local guide tour and driver will wait for us in the Jordanian side of the crossing point. Then, in a private van we would head towards Jerash (a must in you are in Jordan), visiting Jerash and heading to Amman where night was planned. The following day, heading to the Rose City of Petra (just awesome) and night in Petra. On the third day, visiting Madaba and Mount Nebo. After the visits, our Local Guide Tour and Driver would take us to the border where another transport would wait for us in the Israeli side in order to take us to Tel Aviv.

Such was our private organized trip to Jordan, which was a total success. Obviously, touristic places in Jordan speak by themselves. Nonetheless, and this is applicable to the whole word, without proper planning and the right persons involved, your holidays trip could be ruined down.

Talking about the right persons involved, I feel the need to name our Local Tourist Guide, Mr. Emad Ababna, and our Driver, Mr. Dawod Mohammad. The nomination of Mr Emad Ababna as our local tourist guide speaking Spanish was blessing. Perhaps, the fact that he was performing his minor thesis in a University in Spain allowed us to get closer by sharing comments on Spanish literature and his time in Spain, but the truth is that Mr Emad Ababna is a great professional with larger knowledge, who avoids falling into touristic topics and provides historical facts and proven data, open-minded and always given arguments about the benefits and handicaps or such historical happening, excavations and so on.

With our Driver, Mr Dawod Mohammad, I was able to fully speak with him in English but again, I must thank him by his professional skills and constant attention and care.

Unfortunately, I will not be able to go back to Jordan in the short time, but if I have to or my relatives and friends are planning to go there, based on my experience I strongly recommend them to arrange their holidays with Atlas Tour.
