We booked already some a train tickets from Amazing Travel Vietnam. We enquired about tickets via email prior to departing on our holiday, and the response was very quick & informative. We booked the over night train from Hanoi to Sapa and Hue in a 4 berth soft sleeper. We needed a whole cabin to ourselves as we were travelling with young kids (6 yr old & 12 mth old). The booking process was easy, and payment safe & secure online. I had asked them to deliver the tickets to our Hanoi hotel at a certain time. They emailed us after the delivery to ensure we received the tickets& everything in order. The tickets themselves came with travel tips for once on board the train, which proved invaluable. Highly recommend this company.

Warning! At Amazing Travel Vietnam we were deliberately lied to and tricked! With beautiful pictures of modern luxurious boats we were lured into booking a so-called four star luxury cruise to Ha Long Bay (3 d, 2 n- one night on the boat, one in a hotel). The difference to a 2- or 3-star tour was supposed to regard accomodation and foods. We were also explicitly told that in case of any disappointment, there was to be a full refund. Naive as we were, we believed all those promises and wrong information. While of course Ha Long Bay was beautiful accomodation and food were more than disappointing. We were accomodated on a 3-star-ship in very poor condition. Never had it looked like those pictures but also its own best times were long past. Even cleaning was seemingly a rare event. While our room was "only" dirty in means of dust and former travellers hair bushels a fellow traveller was less lucky. When he lay down on his bed for a nap, he was quickly disturbed by stinging and itching. When he sat up he found a colony of bugs under his pillow. (So if you insist on booking here, at least check your bed before lying down.)

There was also some more wrong information. Non alcoholic drinks like water or lemonade were to be included on the whole trip. The included bottles amounted to less than one liter for he three day trip, additional water was to be charged at high prices. Something we explicitly asked before booking. Also, in spite of the information given before, there was no hot water in the showers

I myself don't mind that but I do mind to be lied to about this fact. Similar problems occured with the (3 star) hotel.

Food was a disappointment as well. While it is easy to have different opinions about the quality of food (and mine is mit positive on rhis subject) it can be objectively said that the quantity was very tiny. As an example: the total of dessert for a table of 6 adults amounted to one pitahaya. And no, also on request, there were no second helpings.

Immediately upon arrival in the boat we in vain tried to correct the mistake of accomodation with the guide. When we went back to Amazing Travel after the trip to at least get a refund for the price difference of our downgrade, we were told that we have to contact the boss by email. We dif not have much time to discuss anything because we were booked on an open tour bus (which, by the way, we booked at the same agency and again we were presented with two straight-forward lies: we were told if it was possible to lie completely flat and even when I said that on the fotos I had seen so far it looked like that was not possible because the person behind you had their legs under your upper body he said that was a foto delusion, it was definitely possible to lie 100% flat. Also he said there were toilets ON THE BUS, which is not true either. So apart from these and some more circumstances making the open tour bus an awful experience for us, this is just two more lies. This can't be a misunderstanding or lack of knowledge because I am pretty sure that the question whether there is a toilet on the bus is asked often, so he had plenty of time to check the answer).

So the only chance we had was to complain by email. In their response that we had booked the three star cruise anyway so everything was correct. Normally, we wouldn't have anything to prove our point because you hand in your receipt when you go on the tour. Bit we had him draw a copy because we still needed to receipt for the open tour bus. So we have a written confirmation that we booked and paid 4*. When I wrote them that they refused to answer.

I think this whole story proves my point that Amazing Vietnam tries to trick their customers on purpose and not just in the "normal" way by overcharging a little here and "forgetting" to mention some unpleasant information there, but big time!

Amazing Travel Vietnam based in Hanoi organised a two week trip around Hanoi, Ha Long bay, Linh Binh and Hoi An. The whole trip was brilliantly organised. Hotels were good to excellent, guides were prompt, informative, and very flexible, tours were exceptional--if you don't like organised tours, think again with Amazing Travel Vietnam !

Highlights were: A "barbecue" in a cave in Ha Long bay, which turned out to be a full six course candle-lit dinner, complete with damask table cloths. Casting a fishing net from a traditional fishing boat in Hoi An river.

A Master Chef style cooking course for 29 in a shady glade by a river, making spring rolls and vegetable curry for our own lunch.Watering the vegetable crops in a Vietnamese style market garden.Galloping across a waterlogged rice paddy field astride a water amazing vietnam.Gliding down the tranquil river in Tam Cok on a Cambridge style punt powered by a lovely girl in traditional costume rowing using her feet, watching kingfishers flit above the paddy fields, and mountain goats clambering on limestone rock cliff faces 300 feet high above us.

We booked all our trips in Vietnam via this company and got excellent quality. Staff, tour guide and price were so good. We booked a Halong bay and Sapa tours with Amazing Travel Vietnam and also a transfer from Hanoi Airport and a pick-up in HCM City, It all went very smoothly. First they picked me up on time, the car was waiting for me when I arrival. The driver was chirpy, spoke English and helped with mt bags. There was someone waiting with a sign for me in HCM City, and i was delivered to the right hotel. My 5 days in Hanoi went well, and the tour was very interesting. I used this company again when I retuned to Hanoi, same deal... I was happy with the tour, i will probably use Amazing Travel Vietnam next time I am looking to go somewhere here.
