“BCS CISMP at TKA: The worst course I have ever attended. ”

Written on: 13/01/2021 by Claire_ (1 review written)

I did the BCS CISMP course online with TKA in December 2020. In 23 years of working in IT and attending numerous technical and management courses, I have never had an experience like this: The first problem was with the content. The Delegate Pack was 800 slides long. Apart from the section at the end on Cryptography, it had no diagrams, flowcharts, pictures, or anything to break up the monotony of 800 slides of text. The text itself was appallingly badly written: it was full of sentences… Read Full Review

“DREADFUL ONLINE COURSE”

Written on: 11/01/2021 by rer2020 (1 review written)

What a contrast the online experience has been compared to very positive experience I had as a classroom-based student with The Knowledge Academy. You’re not told when you sign up to online courses that no course pack is provided. When I asked for it, I was told there isn’t any for online courses, you’re expected to either work without one, or create your own. It’s not possible to print the course module by module - the only way to print the online course is to manually cut and paste… Read Full Review

“Avoid avoid avoid”

Written on: 04/04/2020 by Reginaldt237 (1 review written)

Forcing a transfer to a virtual training course but still charged us for a full classroom course. Refusing to allow us to book a classroom course when they restart and no refund for the difference. Insisting that a classroom and virtual course are equivalents. They are NOT and there are multiple academic papers out there supporting the different ways that people learn and should be taught. Customer service response is woefully inadequate but of course if you want to speak to someone in sales… Read Full Review

“Do NOT give them any of your money!!!”

Written on: 12/03/2020

Once they've got your ££, don't expect any kind of service. My organisation booked me onto the BA Foundation course. It was supposed to be 24 hours of study. To call it a course is a joke. It was a series of slides accessed online, with no voiceover and no explanation. Took about 4 hours to look through all the slides. Terms were not explained. Acronyms were not explained. This in no way prepared me for the exam. I've learnt more from free courses on YouTube and LinkedIn Learning. Booking the… Read Full Review

“Shocking customer service. ”

Written on: 25/02/2020 by KCope (1 review written)

Terrible Customer Service, offered money towards hotel then did not provide After booking a Project Management course in Aberdeen I was informed the course was not available and offered Edinburgh as an alternative. I agreed to change the location provided accomodation was covered, which they agreed to. A day or so later the Knowledge Academy then said they'd have to change my location AGAIN since they couldn't source me accomodation after all. I asked for money towards a hotel instead, which… Read Full Review

“Avoid this company - save your money and time”

Written on: 14/02/2020 by Dowd83 (1 review written)

1. The Prince2 course was changed with one day less in class training, we were notified on the starting date of the course (way too late!) -- hotel was not refunded for the last night I had already booked -- Train ticket was not refunded and I had to buy a new ticket on my own cost. 2. Pre read material was not sent, they forgot 3. Voucher to register for the online exam with PeopleCert was not sent by TKA so I missed my exam as no one was available at The Knowledge Academy (TKA) to sort it… Read Full Review

“Breach of Online and Distance Selling regulations”

Written on: 04/02/2020 by ekChristie295 (1 review written)

See the government website of Online and Distance Selling for Businesses. The knowledge academy called me up and sold me a training course. At no point did they mention terms and conditions or point me to them during the call. Afterwards, I tried to cancel (the next day) and they then cited terms and conditions which state a strict no cancellation policy and claimed they are not obligated to tell me about them over the phone and refused to cancel. When I spoke to the person who sold me the… Read Full Review

“Stay away at all cost”

Written on: 17/12/2019 by JerryHuffman1958 (1 review written)

Stay far away from this company. I purchased a training for $750 and called/emailed within 3 mins of initial purchase to cancel as my employer would not recognize the training. I was informed that all sales are final and refund would not be made available. Singe worst customer service I have EVER experienced. Absolutely despicable… Read Full Review

“Stay well clear of Knowledge Academy. Disgraceful”

Written on: 24/03/2019 by ReginaldMonaghan1968 (1 review written)

The advertisement of the scrum course didn't specify that it's KA providing "their own certification" for this material. The things that I have to say about this course and company; 1. My partner is a scrum master and she gave me an hour briefing of the material before I attended. It turned out that I knew more about the material than the instructor. 2. No practical sessions, course doesn't start from explaining the basics at the beginning, only after the second day does this start. 3. The… Read Full Review

Knowledg Academy are impostors. they hired a 3rd rated freelancer from india for the course and sent him a ppt on the day of the course and asked him to read it to me. The sad part was he did not know how to read! even worse, on day 2 of training he never showed up!!!! when asked for a full refund, they refused with no valid reasons given. … Read Full Review

“I recently undertook a GDPR foundation and...”

Written on: 01/02/2018 by uzBrooks323 (1 review written)

I recently undertook a GDPR foundation and practitioner course with the Knowledge Academy. The teaching was dreadful. I didn't have my own folder because they didn't provide enough for two days so I had nothing to revise from. The trainer was consistently late and his knowledge was poor to say the least. He used his own slides which were not part of the folder so even though it was an open book exam we had nothing to revise from. The answers provided to sample exam questions were actually wrong… Read Full Review

“Hurry to sign up - Course canceled - Money back?”

Written on: 11/12/2017

I did some research into KA before signing up. Did not realize that all the positive reviews might have been put up there by KA itself, like suggested on this site. Found a course in ITIL at the start of December 2017 in the city close to me and went to the site to sign up. December was timely for me. It said there were only 3 places left. When I called KA, they said there was only 1 place left. 2 weeks before the course, they let me know the course was canceled, no reason given. It didn't make… Read Full Review

“poor experience”

Written on: 28/10/2017 by RossWhitaker (1 review written)

I booked an ITIL weekend course that was to run on two consecutive weekends. One week before the scheduled date they cancelled it and offered to reschedule it 4 months further. That was far too much in future for me so I asked for a refund for which they agreed but so far I have not received it - after waiting over 3 months. The amount was in excess of £1700 and I don't know how to proceed to recover my money. I played by the book - agreeing to wait for 20 working days for them to issue the… Read Full Review

“Do not trust The Knowledge Academy.”

Written on: 01/09/2017 by acHayes398 (1 review written)

Several thousand dollars for a worthless course - no materials were provided, the instructor spoke an incomprehensible Indian English. And there is no chance of a refund or acknowledgement that they didn't deliver. Just the treat of legal action against you if you complain. Trustpilot identifies you to The Knowledge Academy who will then threaten you, so the Trustpilot "rating". Do not trust The Knowledge Academy. Don't pay them your hard-earned dollars, you will never get anything back… Read Full Review

“Hard Sale but Poor Delivery”

Written on: 13/07/2017

1. We contracted with the Knowledge Academy (KA) for a course that included the industry standard program guides. However, they supplied a KA study guide instead. When we raised the issue, we were sent the contracted materials after the course was over. 2. They also failed to provide proper instructor POC information for an onsite course which resulted in the course almost cancelled then last minute switch to an unsatisfactory venue. 3. We also purchased a "Knowledge Pass" but KA expected… Read Full Review

“The worst training course I have ever been on!”

Written on: 28/01/2017 by arron_clarke (1 review written)

I recently attended a Scrum Master course with the knowledge academy and it was one of the weirdest experiences I have ever had in a training course. Trainers knowledge - It was clear the trainer did not know the subject well, he was simply reading through slides and didn't answer one question with any confidence. He simply waffled for about 5mins without addressing the question that had been asked. - There was no reference to real world experience in order to solidify learning. - There were… Read Full Review

“I booked 4 courses back on the 15th February, 2016....”

Written on: 25/11/2016 by MarvinDean54 (1 review written)

I booked 4 courses back on the 15th February, 2016. These 4 course make up the business analysis DIPLOMA and you need all 4. I was only enrolled in 3, with Modelling Business Processes MISSING. The problem is, the course that is missing is extremely helpful to do the fourth course Business Analysis Practice from the four course programme for the diploma. So with Modelling Business Processes course missing, I really can't do Business Analysis Practice, and definitely cannot complete the Diploma… Read Full Review

“ Avoid. Do more research into a better company”

Written on: 26/10/2016 by adam_Lq (1 review written)

I went with knowledge academy because they seemed to be the most reasonably priced for VMware. I was promised an exam voucher by their sales team if I signed up immediately, which I did, but this did not transpire (which didn't surprise me). The tutor was terrible, during the week, I had to help with HIS understanding of the course, which at times was unbearable. I'm very slow to anger but as an IT contractor who took the week off work and paid for the course myself I was extremely frustrated… Read Full Review
