REALLY BAD operator that cut corners! Travelers beware! We paid for a 5 star accommodation in Aswan and was told that we were being "upgraded" conveniently when we arrived. We ended up in a dirty 4 star hotel (away from the main buzzing area) with no water, sticky floors and wifi that is not working proper. Tried calling the operator but were left stranded to accept this hotel.

On the first day when we arrive, we were made to wait over an hour at the airport as the pick up guy tried to batch his visitors collection. Total disrespectful of our time and we arrived in our hotel close to midnight as a result.

Our trip is still ongoing but the above is what we have experienced in our 3 days in Egypt. Happy to post more evidences of our experiences. Egypt Tours Portal is welcome to dispute too if what we said were untrue.

8 adults and 5 childrens( 9 and 5 years old)we asked ( and payed so much!!) for a tailored tour for kids and they booked flights with arrival in luxor at 1 a.m. and departure from aswan at 3 a.m.!!!!

At EVERY, I underline EVERY, hotel check in we needed to request the 3’ extra bed for kids ‘cause no one booked it from the agency!!! A family of 4 slept in 3 beds after 1 hour of waiting!!!!

We payed the presence of a tour guide ( even the journey on the boat with us!!) who didn’t even speak italian very well and wasnt able to interest us in his “talking” about temples!!!

We SPECIFICALLY asked for a luxury ship( and payed for it, 2 months in advance!!) and, first, they tried to ask for us extra €1000 8 days before departure, then they assigned us lower deck cabins!!!!

You took our money!!

Shame on you!!

To celebrate our 50th Wedding Anniversary we wanted an adventure to match the occasion, and the only way, I can think of describing our 6 Days Cairo & Nile Cruise Package arranged through Egypt Portal Tours, is trip of a lifetime. Everything from transportation, accommodations, food and tours was as presented. Our personal guides, both in Cairo and with us on the Nile Cruise, were so very knowledgeable, and we learned much more about Egypt's story than we ever could have reading books on our own. We truly experienced Egypt through their professional skills and gracious hospitality. I can't recommend Egypt as a destination and Egypt Portal Tours enough! Especially if you're older like we are, don't hesitate to travel to Egypt.

We did a 2 day shore excursion to Luxor from our ship in Safaga, and had an incredible 2 days. We could not have asked for a more perfect experience. We saw everything and more. We had asked to customize our travel a bit, since we had been here before, and we were able to do this with no problem. We paid for the extra tours, but they were reasonable and well worth it. We knew everything up front, and we had a blast.

The Guide speaks great English, and he is incredibly knowledgable in everything, and he has connections everywhere.

We were treated as royalty wherever we went, and we got many extras. The few small problems we had were solved quickly and with no consequneces.

The carriage ride through the old city was amazing.

Long story short, we sailed, we went into tombs, we ate, we saw, we rode, we learned. We are exhausted but so happy!

One word to the wise, if the company says meet them outside the port, meet them outside the port! Despite what the ship said, we could get to the outisde of the port.

I would take this trip again in a minute, and hopefully the same Guide would be there.

2 Days Trip to Luxor Highlights from Hurghada.

Arrived in Cairo and was transferred to the Mena House in Giza. Went for camel rides the next day around P-1, P-2 and crawled into P-2...then off to the Red P. Had dinner that night directly in front of the main sites. 5 star day thanks to the 5 star guide--good english, knowledge and compassionate hospitality!

Flew to Luxor. Poor transfer to the Steinberger and I feel a bit of our time was wasted. Great english speaking tour guide ++ knowldege, pleasant. Boarded the Mirage the next day--turns out the Movenpick is the better ship. Cruised to Aswan and hit the sights along the way which included a carriage ride. Much preferred Aswan to Luxor. Stayed in the Movenpick Resort in Aswan which was pleasant. The Old Cateract is probably a better choice, although the sunset tea on the 13th floor was fantastic.

We did the Abu Simbul flight which was expensive, but one of the best sites in Egypt. However, the contracted tour agent that met us there was not good.

Wrapped everything up with a fly back to Cairo and the VIP Giza night show which was wonderful. Also, the lady guide we had for the Egyptian Museum was super fantastic. Thanks for a great vacation!

We spent 7 amazing nights in Egypt.I can't say enough Egypt Tours Portal. We had amazing tour guides and drivers.The tour was amazing, the guides were knowledgeable and friendly. , cruising the Nile and learning the great history of Egypt was awesome. Egypt Tours Portal was able to make it fun and safe and a great adventure.

After researching many travel options for our family trip, Egypt Tours Portal was recommended to us. We were a party of five who were looking forward to that once in a lifetime magical Egyptian experience, however wanted some help and guidance. Have no hesitations in visiting Egypt. It's safe, the people are lovely and you will have life changing experiences. The tourist numbers are way down - which is great as we were able to be in a lot of locations by ourselves without masses of tourists. However, I hope soon that the tourists return to Egypt to boost their tourism economy.
