MarkLysaght71's review of KTM RC125

Written on: 24/06/2016 by MarkLysaght71 (4 reviews written)

Had a CBR125r 2012 and after 18000 miles of enjoyment,I decided to buy a new machine.i noticed lots of Chinese brands on the road aswell as the usual Japanese branded 125s,but I felt I wanted to be different.after giving the net a sniff I came across the Austrian brand KTM,of which I hadn't seen any of there bikes on the road around my area.i saw the RC125 priced at £4500,very expensive but after sniffing at other bikes I felt drawn back to it,and on the plus side it was on a promotion saving £1500..well that was it..i travelled to AMS bikes at Tewkesbury and done the deed...i upgraded the standard seat to a gel seat for comfort and arranged pick up...well what can I say after riding this machine home and then too and from work...what a machine...engine is smooth, gears are slick, acceleration is superb.top end I've hit 74mph but I've only done 1056 miles so could improve over time..the build quality is great..and has a 150 rear tyre and brembo brakes.people have stopped to look at this motorbike as its unusual and looks the business.if you want something different I recommend the RC125..its superb
