Suzuki DF2.5hp Four Stroke Outboard

Suzuki DF2.5hp Four stroke, 2014.

Made in Thailand which is where I purchased mine, it is light at about 17kg, uses minimal furl. is quiet and looks good. Takes standard unleaded gasoline, oil is easy to access and measure.

Starts after a few pull unless I shut it down by turning off the fuel Instead of kill switch), this starves the engine and uses all fuel in the lines and carb, so it does not block the system if left for a while. If i shut down with kill switch it will start with first pull.

My only complaint is no shallow water tilt lock, so have to hold it up with your spare hand. Actually I plan to weld a shallow water position so it can be locked in.

Also this motor only has a forward and Neutral gear. To go in reverse need to turn the motor 180 degrees.

I chose this over the Honda air cooled, due to reports of Honda being loud. I chose over the Yamaha as i read some reliability issues and also the price is higher.

Perfect for a tender, and light enough to lift easily with one arm.
