Even the most expensive Kookaburra bats suffer from the edge splintering described by the other reviewer. If you take your bat to your local cricket shop you can get edges taped and a protective face for very little and the bat will last you a season. Kookaburra bats aren't for life!

This bat is VERY AVERAGE and dose have some good points and bad points. I like that it was very light so you can swig like hell, and it looks very good!! but i found when i first got a outside edge with a real cricket ball the wood started to chip and break of (NOT GOOD) and when i get a clean hit it shows quite a obivous dent in the blade of the bat. but otherwise its great bat for what you paid :)(best prices 26/36pounds)and its suitable for any age and ability. Kookaburra make great bats but this 1 isnt a great bat but a average bat :)
