Good bat BUY IT! the Gray Nicholls Powerbow 5 star has a really good middle, its also got a pretty good sweet spot and light pick up too. I think that the box is slightly too small but that wont affect everyone

I Use A Long Handled 5 Star Powerbow , It Is An Ou
I use a long handled 5 star Powerbow , it is an outstanding bat and is always 'borrowed' by team mates in nets and games.
It appears to have a huge middle and hitting power but isn't too chunky and mine weighs 2lb 11.
Costing £129.99 from vks.com (a specialist cricket shop's internet site) I strongly believe it is the best on the market for this price and great value for money.
I would strongly recommend this bat to a youth or adult of any ability as it is very user friendly and effective.

Mid Way In The Gray Nicolls Powerbow Range Is The
Mid way in the Gray Nicolls Powerbow range is the 5 star.
Mine is just 2lb 8oz, which is my lightest bat. I use this bat when i am not feeling energetic enough to swing a big bat around in the crease!
I find it well balanced, it has a light pick-up, but has a lot of power considering the weight! The only regret i have is not purchasing a Powerbow that is heavier! I reckon something closer to 3lb would absolutely fly!! The likes of Strauss uses the powerbow, and it's a good choice. The top of the range is almost £300 new, whereas the Titanium and Carbo are slightly cheaper. Below them comes this 5 star at £170 full price, but i have seen them for £130 on Cricket specialist internet shops.
I paid £114 a year ago on the same cricket shop internet site that now sells them for £135. I think that the £21 price rise in a year indicates the increased popularity of this bat.
I would say that it is the best all round bat i have ever owned. If you can time it right, it is an immensely powerful and graceful bat. It looks fabulous too, so fantastic posing power!
I say that if you only have one bat in your bag, then you could do a lot worse than this bat. It will suit more people and your team mates will all want a go with it in the nets.
Sorry to tell you, but the willow is not grade 1, as there are 3 more types above 5 star (carbo, titanium, pro proformance); the carbo being g2; the same as a 5 star.
