These DVS Venom are some of the best shoes I ever bought, lots of bells and whistles. I really like how they look and feel, especially the toe cap. The ghille lacing system is really nice, since I don't like buying laces that often, also there's an alternative lacing system (standard) if you really like the standard lacing system. They are lightweight, but not light as making the shoe less durable.

I've always loved DVS and Lakai (both shoe companies owned by Podium INC) because of the bulky type shoes they produce. I've never been a fan of slim type, vulcanized shoes anyway, you just get a ton of board feel with vulcanized shoes anyways, after that, your feet is going to get so bruised like hell you wouldn't want to wear any vulcanized shoes after that.

I'll prefer bulky, tech shoes to vulcanized shoes at anytime. There's nothing that's going to beat a shoe that's bulky, has an airbag and an indestructible toe cap.

As it seems now, a lot of pro riders and shoe companies have been putting out a lot of paper thin, lightweight shoes. They all forgot about durability and value for money. Get the old models, they were the best.
