Card Holder + Umerella Holder

I have just bought a GXT model golf trolley. First impressions on unpacking good. But dear oh dear why provide an umbrella holder and scorecard holder that cannot be fitted and used at the same time.

What was the designer thinking of.

Solution is to by a Powacady carholder that attaches to the umberella clamp.

Why didn't Stowamatic follow tha design?

Totally Unreliable Product

I bought a Stowamatic electric golf trolley because it was inexpensive and I figured it would do the job. Big mistake. I had to send it back twice almost immediately because the electrics wouldn't work. Then a buckle broke from the strap that holds the bag on. Then the start button fell off (although it still worked.) The umbrella holder broke the first time I used it. Now, 15 months after i bought it, a pin holding the three main struts together has come out and bent. They want to charge me £50 to send it back to be fixed or £20 just for the part (I offered to fix it myself if they send me the part). They don't seem to have heard of the Sale of Goods Act or recognise that their product should work for rather longer than the period of warranty. Do yourself a favour and don't buy from them.

Not Robust Enough!

This trolley has not been tested by the manufacturer in game conditions, otherwise the niggly problems i've experienced would not have occurred. The upper bag securing strap is poorly attached to the curved back support.Knowing the pressure this fitting is under, it looks and is flimsy. I've resecured it with cable ties, and it now is robust. The rubber tyres are of a poor design, with a weakness on the inner and outer part of the tyre. The tyre splits on this and comes off. The company does not supply replacement tyres only wheels at nearly £50 a pair. This is unsatisfactory, as apart from the wasted wheels, the tyres will go again in 12 to 18 months. I'm now using hedgehog tyres at £14 a pair which only last a year, but I can't see the trolley lasting much longer.

Don't Bother - Stowamatic Custome Care Does Not Care

Bought a Stowamatic GTS trolley in October 2012. Only play once a week or less. After 12 months battery charger broke. Replaced battery and charger (not from Stowamtic as they were unhelpful. Battery connection kept coming loose. Had to change the connectors. Now the alloy frame has split in two where there is a bolt over the axle.

These trolleys are not worth the money.

Poor design ,trolley not field tested ,had to put strengthening across both axle supports as both sides cracked ,very thin tubing for chassis.

Very Poor Quality

Speed control button very temperamental and power cuts out completely in the rain. Wouldn't buy another one

Customer Care Okay

All of the add ons feel like they were designed for another model, poor

I had about 8 months good running out of my GTX 36 hole model, the the charger packd in. Before that the plastic plinth that the battery stands on was cracked in 2 places and falling to bits, very poor design

But, eventually i got through to a customer care number where the person was helpful, just took my delivery address and who I had purchased through, Amazon, then switly dispatched me a replacement charger and plinth.

With this they redeemed themselves a little, but the product is poor.

Worst Buy Ever

at first glance this seems like a good golf cart, until it rains. I have replaced the circuit board twice and it has stopped working again. Stowamatic do not want to know and can not help. I have tried to get another board with no luck at all. I would warn all to stay clear of this cart it is not fit for the purpose.

Stay Clear

I bought my trolley and after a few months the control panel under the speed switch packed in. Ordered parts which I had to pay for because they were being sent to Dublin. Parts did not work. They said they could do no more for me. Cost 110 to get it repaired. Then the battery went. This trolley is just a waste of money and you get what you pay for I suppose.

Dont Go There

Since buying this trolley it has continually failed due to rain.

I can now only use it in dry weather despite it going back for repair

after only 5 uses.

The pins on the plug broke and Stowmatic wouldn't send me a replacement under warranty without photos and a lot of fuss so I bought a plug from China (90p). I put a copy of their "helpful" reply on the course notice board to warn others.

The pins sheared on the wheels and now the contol unit is stuck on speed 7.

Waste Of Money

Just after the guarantee ran out the trolley started to disintegrate. The chassis has broken in 2 places, the handle connection likewise. Even the wheels are cracking up. I've also replaced the battery leads. Simply the worst trolley I have ever bought. I wish I had read some of the other reviews before I bought it, their comments seem to match mine.

There is a plus- the battery is going well!!

Q&A

GeorgeFred

Where can I buy a circuit board for a Stowamatic GXT electric golf trolley?

Stew71

The metal inserts keep coming out of the connection on the battery that slot into the trolley. What should I do?
