The Drift East, Horsley

Was a member at The Drift East for 15 years, and saw the course go from being frankly pretty ropey, to not bad at all. Renowned for being tight, and with every green raised and hard, it certainly is unforgiving. Play to your handicap here and you have done very well. Recent clearance of much of the undergrowth has helped grass grow, as well as reducing the severity of a wayward shot. Clubhouse is an ugly 70s building that needs demolishing, and the kitch has a nasty habit of not being open when you need it, but overall pretty good value and worth a visit.
